Hearing interviews happening for North Lincoln job. Some assistants from iredell county schools rumored to be trying to get job. Also dark horse based off Pic I posted before. Hearing also in house option isn't sure if he wants head job. Still considering the big picture

wish he would’ve stayed. Rams up 43-23 half
I kinda get going to a specialized program. But also if u can get any offer at your home school as u could an academy. I feel like u stay loyal. If u need special school to get top offers go for it. LJ Smith was getting top offers at lincolnton though

Yeah, I’m not a big of private schools. But I can’t be mad at it.
He never got any big transfer to help him in Lincolnton either.

I've seen him play twice. Honestly didn't love his coaching. He never really dominated in the games up to his talent. He kinda just went with flow of the game instead of controlling the game. But hes young

I think he wanted to go somewhere that was committed to basketball year-round like he is (24/7 gym and weight room access and teammates with similar goals). And unfortunately Lincolnton wasn’t that. I hate he left but it was probably best for his development. He is a great young man.

I get it. Still not a big fan of private schools. But I think he made the right decision.

Just noticed Pisgah basketball girls RPI shows they’re undefeated and yet they lost to a varsity opponent.

What’s going on there?….just curious….

I have no idea how they account for it RPI-wise, and wondered this at the time we lost, but our girls only loss is to a showcase team from Australia that we played over Christmas.

I doubt there is enough common opponent data to make anything make sense in the RPI. When we played Maxpreps, just referred to them as ā€œVarsity Opponentā€.

If we really feel like beating our chests, ā€œWe can say no one in the Western Hemisphere has yet to beat us!!ā€ šŸ˜Ž

Swett didn't seem to have a lot of options. Not sure how much bandys helped him but very shocking to me even with all the college issues going on.

LR is a really good d2 school though, walk on or not. If he can get some good film, practice or game, there is always an option to move on.

NCAA needs to step up and help the high school kids. Seems like no rules at all.
They will when this system crashes and burns and they(programs) need hs players again. Everything’s working and at an all time high for the moment but anyone can see this model is going to be short lived.

It just stinks for the majority of high school football players that are caught up in it for this period. It’s probably going to be even worse for the non-football/ basketball guys that run track, play baseball, Olympic sports, etc because a lot more of those sports probably will go defunct due to trying to figure out how to bankroll football and basketball.

This has definitely been a weird day of weather for the mountains for sure.

I live in a high river valley about 10-12 miles south of Canton and about 3000ft in elevation and sometimes the pressure of these fronts really throw our weather in a different direction than even most in our own county. We got .1 inches of ice last night and things were getting dicey. Woke up this morning to 55degrees at 6am and rain. It’s been above 50 all day and rained, pouring now. Lots of broken tree branches and did lose power for 3hrs.
10-15 miles from me in almost every direction received ice and is anywhere from high 20s to low 30s.

This place is going to be frozen solid when tomorrow morning comes and it hits 20degrees. A meteorologist doesn’t stand a chance in these mountains. šŸ˜‚

Saw that on the weather channel about rain and warmer temperatures in some of the mountains.
So far, here, We’ve been blessed in that nearly all of it has been sleet.

The temperature has climbed up to 29 degrees but we’re still getting sleet. The street in front of my house looks like an ice-skating rink.

Was very concerned that we would get freezing rain which knocks out the power, but so far it hasn’t happened. According to the weather channel the storm is supposed to be moving out of this area around 7PM.
