Grounds and Hounds is our online choice. Solid assortment, fresh, and portion of the money goes to dog rescue.

@Garw brings us a variety of Fresh roasted beans from his roaster in Baltimore which has made the start of the day that much more enjoyable. Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, etc.

and when Tgar does have to grab Starbucks on the road, he most definitely is channeling his inner @BobPSU92

we grind our beans and have an OXO Coffee maker which we enjoy though it may be time for something new.

When we Air BNB, we just take along a bag of Starbucks Columbian ground.

Fresh Roasted Coffee is the best.....not in stores as far as I know

Assuming you're talking about the Sunbury based coffee company, Fresh Roasted Coffee? They have really good coffee, as well as tea. They are my go to for stocking the office K-Cups and to give away as gifts. They're selling some on Amazon now, but I usually buy direct or swing by when visiting my parents.

I understand that you asked for supermarket bought coffee, but I wanted to offer another option for those who are very particular about their coffee (as I am), I order whole beans from JBC Roasters in Madison, Wi and have done so for years. They offer a wide variety of beans with different traits.. Here is the link if you are interested in exploring.

And no, I have no interest in this company nor do I receive a commission :). If linking a company is inappropriate, please remove the post,

I brew the Costco Breakfast Blend that is Organic and Free Trade. I mix in the Laird Hamilton Superfood Creamer (also bought at Costco). The creamer has coconut milk powder with MCTs and Aquamin. Been my staple for years.

At least down here, Dunkin ground or bean coffee is much cheaper by the bag in the Dunkin than it is at my Publix. It's almost a value.
In State College, Dunkin is cheaper at the individual dunkins then the grocery stores. I like a bold strong coffee so I am hooked on the Dunkin Midnight. 10.99/bag at grocery store, 8.99/bag at the dunkins. If I ever find something as strong as Dunkin Midnight I would switch but haven't yet.

Here is a little relatively unknown…Gervasi Winery in Canton, Ohio has a medium roast house whole bean that I order on line regularly. Roasted locally and roast dated. The wife and I love it. (Not super market but worth the mention IMO)

The other thing I like about Dunkin is that if you're out of coffee and it's between 6-7 AM, you don't have to wait for the Publix to open at 7.

Other than 'expresso' at a shop across from the Maxwell House plant in Hoboken, NJ (still there?) - Dunkin French Vanilla brewed in a Breville coffee maker (US brands suck) makes the morning good to go. Outside of Publix territory - Dunkin will do - make it white and sweet - or In NYCity at the bus terminal - 'regular'!

Well, since you brought up Amazon, we have Lavazza Super Crema and Crema y Aroma delivered to the house for the expresso machine, French press and drip machine the kids use.

Love Lavazza. Began drinking in on R/C cruises. Robust and deeply satisfying.

Coffee snobs, try Equal Exchange if it's available in your area. Equal exchange is a really cool company. They are employee owned and they partner directly with plantations in third world countries. The typical model is the farmers get paid once a year upon harvest and have to budget for the entire year from that payment. Equal Exchange does Semi-Annual payments to their suppliers to lessen some of the cash flow budget concerns that many small plantation owners struggle with.

And, the coffees are typically really really good.

We just fell into it. When my wife ordered the expresso machine from Amazon, she just clicked on "people also order this" button for Super Crema. That's all I've ever used.

When we got the French press, I tried Crema y Aroma as Super Crema was really strong. Everyone liked it better.

An interpretation of 'Maxwell House' is in the movie 'Hiding Out' (Amazon Prime) as someone by the name Maxwell Houser - light-hearted and fun.

Rarely drink it but it all tastes so bitter. But the few times I did I needed to dilute it with lots of cream and sugar. My wife uses the Keurig machine. The pods are green never noticed the brand.

Although in Rome I enjoyed the espresso shot after dinner. (still had to add a couple sugars)

Now if you want to discuss Supermarket Coffee Ice Cream: Haagen Daas

Does MJH stand for Margaret J Hamilton? Serious question, I’m stumped.

Margaret Hamilton was a sweetheart in real life, just saying. She was trained as a kindergarten teacher and doted on children. Don’t know exactly why I felt the need to mention this but here we are.

Mississippi John Hurt. Delta blues musician from the 40s. His song coffee blues is an excellent listen for any music lover but especially those that enjoy finger-picking acoustic.

No wonder…

Very cool though, I’m sure he put his heart into his music.

If you like that one, try their Pecan Coffee. I'm not a fan of flavored coffee but the Pecan is pretty good. It's very smooth.
Oh God, Christmas coffees, yuk. A crying shame. For the money people spend on these fancy holiday brews they could get a really good brew, a splurge, that’s always a treat. If you’re going to a party and your hosts drink coffee, instead of bringing a bottle of wine bring a $15 bag of coffee.

Tend to agree but I wouldn't call their Pecan version a "Christmas Coffee" those all seem to have a peppermint stick sticking out and whipped cream on top. Not my style at all.

I prefer freshly roasted stuff from local coffee shops. Right now I’m in a bag of Ethiopian from a little place near the house called Cumberland Coffee Roasters. The taste difference is shocking. If I have to buy name brand, it’s Peet’s major dickason’s blend.
I’m with you brother.
I stopped crappy coffee about eight years ago. Now I buy from a local shop/roaster. I currently alternate between medium roast Peruvian or Guatemalan (valerio coffee in KOP area).

Tim Hortons Decaf and Wegmans Organic Bold. I do pour over brewing with a Melitta natural brown paper filter. The decaf is Swiss water process, no chemical solvents.
I do the exact same. If I drink decaf and it’s not Swiss water I get an almost instant headache for some reason. Newman’s Own and Verena Street make inexpensive but pretty tasty decafs.

Community - Coffee and Chicory

ground in New Orleans, naturally
I miss Community Coffee especially the Breakfast Blend. Wife #4 loved the stuff, but not available here. Wife #5 prefers Dunkin's Original Roast. I'm in a bit of a quandary. 🤷‍♂️
