Our prices probably went up more than most Big 12 and ACC schools….

Fans are going to pay for any "revenue sharing" one way or another. Of the multitudes of other ways they could go about it this is the sure fire low hanging fruit. And if ticket sales ever lag they can "blame" the fans for on field results as well.
