That, or make Oweh play safety for his money.

Quaintence can play the Lonell DeWalt role and block some kicks.

win-win

So now we have dudes mysteriously disappearing and opting out. This is truly a late Calipari era team.

[Century Cat]

And so it begins.

[legalbeagle123]

JQ has no reason to play now. We're garbage with or without him.

[august-west]

I took IU -25.5 just for funsies

[HymanKaplan]

With no recruits secured yet, is Pope done after this year, barring a miraculous turnaround?

Distinct possibility imo.

God this IU **** makes me sick

I touching hate them

Willie Rodriguez back is huge

Yes. He got paid. Just bought himself a new truck. Got a Dodge Charger last summer for just being the fastest TE upon returning to camp.

No qualms fading UK..Cowbells on the ML is +550, and, imo, also worth a small sprinkle.

I would say make Jasper play DB, but he would get torched there also. Ole !!!!!

• Do you know who could use Reed Sheppard right about now? Mark Pope, that’s who!
• Oh look, Pat Riley will be in the house tonight to witness this steaming pile of dung of a program in action. Maybe he’ll anoint Pope’s head with his hair gel or something. Praying.
• My old elementary PE teacher passed away this week. Probably my favorite teacher I ever had. A huge UK fan. Smoked lung darts in his office. I remember him calling me into his office one day, not because I was in trouble, but to show me a small poster on his wall of this HS player from Roberta GA named Kenny Walker, who was jumping about 4 feet in the air and dunking on somebody. He told me that he was coming to UK and was going to be special. He was right and that memory is etched in my brain. RIP JG

Just heard something that I find hard to believe. The average age of IU's football roster is 23 years old. LOL

That is if true.

I mean, it's no secret that Cignetti builds through the portal, but I didn't know it was to THAT level.

Sort of craps on the Cinderella storyline.

In a weird way, I don't think Cignetti's "method" would work as well at a traditional power. I could be off base here, but I think that IU with their deep NIL pocket(s) and less 5 star-stacked roster, makes a more enticing landing spot for elite portal transfers.

I mean, the guy is going to win no matter where he coaches, but this is the most dominating team I've seen since The "U" was putting HOF'ers in the league left and right, and partying with Luther Campbell back in the day, and on top of great coaching and talent evaluation (portal), they just LOOK like men playing against boys because they ARE. Indiana, IMO was the perfect landing spot/laboratory for this mad scientist.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not crapping on it. I hope Will Stein is taking notes because I'd love some of that action here at UK.

70% of the starters at Indiana are 5th or 6th year seniors .

Average age of starting lineup is 23.2 years old..

40% of starters at Oregon are 5th or 6th year players

Average age: 22.3 years old

25% of starters at Alabama are 5th year Srs, no 6th year starters

Average age of Starters?
20.8 years old

The Second oldest starting roster in the CFP this year? The Miami Hurricanes at 22.6 ...

Cameras just caught a glimpse of an attractive girl in the Duke student section. Talk about a unicorn....

[Catsfan2025]

I call them a visitor. 100% lock she doesn't attend Duke.

[KentuckyStout]

I’m sure Oregon getting murdered and their offense looking like pasteurized excrement is no reflection on how the Will Stein era will pan out at the University of Kentucky.

BLUE!

[HymanKaplan]

As bad as it was, take solace in the fact that Oregon had the two best offensive performances terms of yardage and points of any IU opponent this year. Also Texas Tech had the number 3 ranked defense in college (IU was 4) and lost 23 - 0 against Oregon (who had the most offensive success of any team all season against them as well) So... And Alabama managed, you know, THREE points against IU. LOL

[Dexterdru71]

One more story about my old PE teacher. He had a slightly younger brother, who did magic shows on the side, who died exactly a week before him. They are having a joint funeral service for them.
A few winters back, I was killing time one afternoon at a bar in Murray Ky, when a guy sits beside of me who happened to be his magician brother. He tells me the story of a morning that his PE teacher brother had him scheduled to do a magic show in front of the whole school in the gym, but he gets “wiped out” the night before, oversleeps, and is awakened by his brother beating on the door early the next morning. He said that he was still “wiped out” but got all of his magic stuff together, shows up in front of the waiting assembly and did the show still drunk from the night before. I told him that I remembered the show because I was there as a youngster. Had me fooled.

That's a huge get for us. Turns out having a full time coach is a plus!

[legalbeagle123]

Attempting to grade Oregon's offense and/or Will Stein against this Indiana defense is just not fair.

[Catman100]

Winning a crappy division with a losing record should not get you a home playoff game against a team that won 4 more games.
Fix that crap NFL.

[HymanKaplan]

The only thing winning a division should get you is a playoff berth. (I'm not even completely sold on that one, because the Vikings and Lions definitely deserved to be in the playoffs over the Panthers, but I'll begrudgingly stick with winning a division gets you in)

All 7 teams should be seeded according to: won loss record, and then a series of tie-breakers (head to head, conference record, division record, etc.)

Instead of:

Seahawks
Bears
Eagles
Panthers
Rams
Niners
Packers

It SHOULD have been:

Seahawks
Rams
Niners
Bears
Eagles
Packers
Panthers

First round SHOULD be:

Panthers at Rams
Packers at Niners
Eagles at Bears

[Dexterdru71]

I agree with the division winner sentiment. It’s odd seeing the Rams playing at the Panthers. Instead of the Rams likely rolling at home like they deserve, they’re in a dogfight on the road.
Credit to the lesser Panthers I guess.

[HymanKaplan]

Any team can win or lose any single game in the playoffs, it's just ridiculous though that the Panthers get rewarded just by benefiting from being in the worst division in the NFC/NFL, meanwhile, the second best team in the NFC over the course of the entire season gets the shaft.

In the last three seasons, the home team went 14-4 in the wildcard round.

[Vismund]

While I 100% agree the hosting a game thing is BS, it's been BS for quite some time. Hell, the Rams own division had a 7-9 team (think it was Seattle) host a playoff game over a decade ago, and they won.

Also, in support of the local Panthers, they beat this team just a few weeks ago, so I doubt they're getting "rolled", especially considering the cracker box LA plays in is basically a 50/50 stadium like in Las Vegas.

[HymanKaplan]

The Panthers are a much better team than their record would indicate. That is for sure, but I think the entire body of work during the season should count for more.

[august-west]

Did you see the 1st Half? The QB had 3 turnovers which led to 21 pts. That is an awful take. Maybe you should take lap or 2

[HymanKaplan]

I'm just irritable, because my Packers are about to get blown out at Chicago, to end the season on a 5 game losing streak.

Second year QB's and first year coaches can get the yips pretty bad in the playoffs, I wouldn't put too much into them getting blown out but the injuries for Green Bay worry me.

Need Ben Johnson eating all the **** tonight, so go Pack.

[It'saDoneDeal]

You know what, let's just keep losing until they have to fire him. Short term pain for long term gain.

Burn it down and start completely over.

[august-west]

And just like that they have already quit. Aberdeen, Diabaute & Chandler all with 3’s that had no chance of going in. Then nobody stops the ball and a 6-10 dude goes coast coast

[legalbeagle123]

End the season now.
Fire Barnhart.
Fire Pope.

[PGthirteen13]

This coach and team are done. They’re ready to scrap it and head to the beach this spring and then off to be the big fish in a small pond.

[PGthirteen13]

Have the players even heard the name Hubbard? Because he’s been left open like the new kid wearing jorts at the Y.

[BigBadBlueDaddy]

-Airballed 3
-Player gets injured and leaves the game
-Careless passing turnover
-Pope squinting
-Mitch arms crossed and chewing his cud
-Double digit first half deficit
-Crowd booing

The bingo card is nearly full 5 minutes in.
