Exactly...we just simply haven't produced high quality true LBs. Hopefully Rojas changes that.
He has the speed the NFL craves and will land him on a roster for special teams I’d almost guarantee. He needs to clean up the initial decision making so he’s closer to point of attack rather than chasing so much. In Lynn’s D, he will look better and Tatsch is damn fast and smart too. Both with the incoming ISU guy, I think we will smell a little more like LBU than we have in ages.

That's probably true. There was a lot of "experts" saying Rojas could be a day 2 pick in 2026 even after the injury--curious to see how things play out for him,

You’re kidding right?

Under Franklin Penn State’s WR room was one of the worst in the B1G and the country.

The fact that Franklin recruited so many project type players at a WR skill position should be alarming in a bad way.

Thank goodness Coach Campbell is clearing out the projects while keeping the few promising WRs on the current roster.

Best wishes to Matt Outten. I think he may have to drop down a level in competition. He was overmatched in the B1G.
I liked Franklin and thought he was good for PSU. But his handling of the WR room along with its coaches and hiring OC's was an epic fail and it was time for a change.
I like what Campbell is doing.

Connor was on staff since 22. LB title since 2025. He has actually been her longer than Hagans.

Hagan's WRs were all freshman.
All? Guys left because of him.

Conner was an adviser. Allen would not release his LB coach duties. That’s his thing. To say Conner was responsible for the decline of the PSU LB would be incorrect as he wasn’t actually responsible until last year.

This is rich. A LB that couldn’t beat out Deluca or Tatsch for playing time under James Franklin…..goes to play for James Franklin.

and Grunk is now heaped in with 3 players in similar class standing.

it’s like the Stockholm Syndrome.
I think Wylie battled injuries most of his time at PSU. You did notice his PT increased after CJF left, so it also could have been favoritism toward Deluca.

Job 1 for Rojas is to stay healthy for the full season.
