Young O genius who would stay long term and have zero “culture” responsibilities
look:
  • Statistical Success: Under his leadership, the Dolphins offense ranked 1st in total yards (2023) and 2nd in points per game (2023).

He might get a HC role honestly
Rooney Rule at least gets him interviews

If the Eagles have a really poor offensive showing and get bounced early, I suspect they will look to replace Patullo with Kingsbury or McDaniel. Regardless of whether it is Patullo's fault or not, he would at least be used as a scapegoat.

After last year, I’m comfy with its Patullo’s fault
I like kingsbury but less than McDaniels

The proof with and without Kellen Moore would be stark. An outside proven playcaller got them a title. Why not try to replicate that?

Sirianni promoting his internal guys has been middling.

No way he gets HC
Guys get fired and hired immediately all the time. Not saying he should or will but he absolutely could. Minority coaches that have had some success are scarce and the league cares about optics. Is he really that much worse than Stefanski?

His team was rumored to have completely gotten away from him.

Internal Drama and Fallout
The on-field performance was accompanied by considerable drama and internal strife, including:
  • Coaching changes and a GM firing: Head coach Mike McDaniel was fired after the season. General Manager Chris Grier was also fired mid-season, on October 31st.
  • Quarterback issues: Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a career-worst 15 interceptions and was eventually benched. The team's offensive struggles included communication issues on the field and an inability to adjust to defenses, which led to Tagovailoa expressing a desire for a "fresh start" with a potential new coach.
  • Culture problems: The 2024 season was reportedly plagued by culture issues, including several players being constantly late to meetings. These issues persisted into 2025, with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill taking himself out of the final regular-season game due to frustration, and later apologizing.
  • Key injuries: The team sustained major injury hits, most notably Tyreek Hill suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 4, which significantly impacted the offense.
