FifyI would bet she knows more about football than most guys on here
McCollum doing pretty damn good so farI would not trust beth to change out my toilet paper roll correctly
**** off You POS.I would not trust beth to change out my toilet paper roll correctly
He gave him the title and raise so he wouldn't go to Minnesota.Uhhhh yes he did. If KF gets his way the next coach will be Wallace
As big of a brown noser Wallace is he probably makes Kirk's coffee goes to the store for him and shines his shoes. So it was a coincidence that Ferentz named Wallace, and no one else, AHC. Okay...
Take a look at the "if" in "If KF gets his way."
Or become Indiana.Go follow Michigan state. They have the worlds
yea we need to fire KF and become Nebraska. That May be the only way to satisfy the Iowa city radical loony bin. Lol idiots
Keywords here: KF's HC in waiting. Ain't gonna happen. It effectively makes Wallace KF's "HC in waiting." Any other discussion is trying to find a meaningful distinction where there is none.
It is January 5.This may be the dumbest thread of the year.
Yeah, and this one is going to carry for a while. Tough to beat what we're reading on this one.It is January 5.
It's not because we didn't try.Iowa is not gonna hand out bags of cash or be held hostage by the Kadyn Proctor's of the world.
What an improbable fantasy.Wow, would it be hilarious watching her kick your arse.
She certainly hasn't whiffed yet. Both her basketball hires are in the top 20 right now.Based on her extremely impressive hire of Ben, I am inclined to say, Beth is more than qualified to hire an excellent football coach if called on to do so. She has my full support moving forward.
Now now, let's not be rude here.As big of a brown noser Wallace is he probably makes Kirk's coffee goes to the store for him and shines his shoes.
They did….. twiceIowa is not gonna hand out bags of cash or be held hostage by the Kadyn Proctor's of the world.
And yet he's not a Hawkeye?They did….. twice
He should do the voice to text thing.he's waiting to see his allotment of chewing gum and note pads

Lol. Yeah how would you rank all of them?I know it is early in her tenure, but Beth is the best AD at Iowa since Bob Bowlsby.
The Moons. Caitlin Clark.Who's Iowa’s Mark Cuban?
Well the HC has over 100 million. If you include the entire family it approaches 200.Who's Iowa’s Mark Cuban?
It'll be the biggest mistake of Beth's career if she gives in and hires Wallace.Kirk has already had a say in who his successor is. That is a period at the end of that sentence. After the sheer number of years with the program he has a well-established culture recognized by other coaches and media. Kirk has also kept the donors for Iowa athletics engaged and interested in donations through renovations and facility upgrades. Kirk is also well respected by other coaches of all sports at the University. Set the questionable parts out of Kirks career aside as he has recovered very quickly with decisions, he has made to overcome those "bad" choices. Every leader at the upper levels of any business have made decisions that in hindsight were not ones they would make again or do again. How do they recover and move forward. The lowest level employee can say something that can be an oh crap moment for an executive or another executive or boss can make the correction for them while still valuing their leadership and weighing both the positives and negatives. Money from donors alone and the fact Kirk has run a clean program with support from an overwhelming number of players years later is stellar. What some on this message board consider a negative is actually a huge positive in coaching. When former players and coaches want to come back and learn that is a strong positive.
Beth is not going to stray far from the Iowa model of what works for Iowa. Ben and Jan are the epitome of Kirk. No different in their ideals, expectations for players, and goals for their programs. Ben is building the Iowa men's basketball base after it had fallen off. He will do it the Iowa way. Jan has to maintain what Iowa women's basketball has become and try to go further. She won't settle for anything short of championships. It is not a have to win one, but the actual steps you are taking to "try". Money drives athletics in every way now. Iowa will never compete with the top programs in money, so you have to strive to get there through steady development and overcoming bumps along the way.
Don't be disappointed when Beth takes the safe route when Kirk retires. She will extend Kirk's contract in whatever way she sees is needed to keep the program rolling at the level it is or better. She has already had all the conversations she needs to with Kirk to know how he views the program after he retires. She is not a football coach, but it isn't about the XOs of football but the Jimmies and Joes. It is Midwest Iowa. She is not going to hire someone that has zero Midwest experience or that is brash, obnoxious, or out of place. There won't be a Kiffin, Cignetti, or Lanning. Iowa does not have billionaires, an arrogant fan base, or does well with self-confident cocky. I'll continue to say hiring Lester wont surprise me at all and it will be all out trying to keep Wallace for the d-coordinator position when Phil retires. The current staff is damn good at most spots. I do think it will be hard to keep line coaches and other position coaches at some point. My hope is Kirk sees that before they start to go elsewhere.
Why would she hire Wallace with Tim Lester there and his Pro experience, head coaching experience, QB experience, and a complete list. It is a fact that Phil Parker thought they should not let Wallace go to Minnesota for multiple reasons. His title means nothing more than money. It'll be the biggest mistake of Beth's career if she gives in and hires Wallace.
If they hire from inside yes I prefer Lester. But it seems like 80% on this board think Wallace is the second coming with no experience. Why would she hire Wallace with Tim Lester there and his Pro experience, head coaching experience, QB experience, and a complete list. It is a fact that Phil Parker thought they should not let Wallace go to Minnesota for multiple reasons. His title means nothing more than money.
LOL Cuban owns 400 companies like the Moon's.The Moons. Caitlin Clark.
This can't be a serious post. Beth's new hire for men's basketball is 12-2 and has the team ranked #19 in his first season. The women's team is 13-2 and #14. Not sure what your expectations are, but a complete train wreck? Come on. LOL.Basketball has been a complete train wreck and the OC situation has proven to be another mistake Beth made.
Obviously Phil Parker thinks very highly of himIt'll be the biggest mistake of Beth's career if she gives in and hires Wallace.
Kirk has said his retirement gig would be as an OL coach somewhere so he can just teach. There would be 100 schools in line saying pick me pick me.hope this doesn’t drag on too long. wouldn’t put it past fitz to tamper with kirk. would hate to see the dean of cfb as OL coach or senior analyst at msu having a ball alongside levar

As for the OC.. Are you honestly saying you would rather have Brian Ferentz back running this offense?
Oh behave, he’s very good at chewing gum and taking notes for the next game next year.he's waiting to see his allotment of chewing gum and note pads

So he's pretty good at brown nosing Phil too.Obviously Phil Parker thinks very highly of him
Get this eyeliner wearing mofo off here.
Get this eyeliner wearing mofo off here.
He should. The 4-2-5 was Wallace’s brainchild. He tried to get Phil to put it in a few years earlier, but Phil was stubborn about wanting to keep the 4-3. Right up until Wisky beat us on a pass to the slot covered by an LB.Obviously Phil Parker thinks very highly of him
To be more specific, he said OL coach at a high school.Kirk has said his retirement gig would be as an OL coach somewhere so he can just teach. There would be 100 schools in line saying pick me pick me.
