UNC supposedly offered $2M and RU wasn’t far behind. VT initially dropped out but now he’s apparently going on a visit so no clue. I’m sure VT realized this is a once in a lifetime line-up w/ BB, MM, Konopka, Seidel, Fortier, etc. coming and if you add Knox it’s a top 3 program.
RU could take a lesson from VT as it wasn’t always about NIL. Let’s not forget they had Jayden James. Was a finalist for kids like Parentin and Sontz. They’ve been working Jersey including the privates like Delbarton. In PA all over Bishop McCourt. Grabbed Konopka from Green Farms Academy. Fortunately Goodale seems to have cracked Malvern Prep but needs to do more.

Has Goodale cracked Malvern Prep? Does that mean RU got a good chance with a soph ranked #6 at 144 named Matt O’Neil.. he’s gotta be top 10 p4p for his class or close to it..

My guess is Matt O’Neill follows his brother to UNC.
I should have said Mytych cracked Malvern with Zalota and Farnsworth. That line up is loaded we should be all over Malvern and FCA if NJ privates not interested.

Harley before you further denigrate Caliknight's contribution to the discussion he is a former lacrosse player and lacrosse insider for Rutgers. He posts tons (or used to until recently) excellent material on the Rutgers lacrosse team and program.

As I said in my first post, I don't know anything about wrestling. I saw the kid's name was mentioned and I thought it might be of interest considering who told me. I haven't read the thread and have no idea what you or anyone else knows. Simmer down, it's just information, even if you knew it already.

That’s a valid concern. They both seem like career 125er. Maybe Knox could grow into 33.. and remember we still have Ayden Smith for another 3+ years whos likely is a career 125.

With a situation like Know, he would be eligible immediately (provided grades are good enough), right? If that's the case, does RU get him into the mix right away or redshirt?
In this age of College Athletics, now! Never know what the next year brings with this new world.
If it’s not Knox who could it be?? Maybe it is Knox but Goodale doesn’t want to be too obvious with the “BOOM!!!”

Get him on the mat as soon as you can. No point waiting. Try and maximize his presence as soon as possible with recruiting. If he can come in and have immediate success, you can build on it in recruiting. Plus, sitting around and not competing allows for a lack of focus. If you are just practicing and know that you wont compete you are not the same mindset. If he sits you are still paying his NIL. Why waste it.
He’d be instantly eligible and they shouldn’t even consider a redshirt because he’s AA caliber already, and he’d likely transfer after a redshirt +3 years anyway.
