Owen's a solid player......but I'm good losing a guy who quit on his team. Dix on the other hand, was a real loss.
Dix would be a killer with this team and coach.
He has above average talent but like you said is a net minus on a team because of attitude. He has a douchey vibe to him. I certainly wasn't sad to see him leave.
Considering all the talk about him and his family being big time Christians, in the end they were frauds. Most people like that are however.
He can run the floor, got a bunch of easy ones in transition last night. His issue is can he stay on the floor because his defense is god awful
Way to generalize an entire faith of people. Feed them to the lions!
So what happened here that he's getting so few minutes? Anybody know?

Saw game and announcer was saying he had some type of knee procedure after season. But from person I know out in Omaha area sounds like he didn’t come into start of practice in best shape and rumor is he’s kind of lazy. So reputation proceeds himself at Iowa
Not only does Ben hold players accountable for defense, he actually teaches them how to play it.
In other words, ***-chewings from Fran would have been irrelevant in the end
McDermott benched three starters, including Owen after Creighton’s bad start. Owen was putting up good numbers against bad teams and putting up horrible numbers against any teams with a pulse.
I have watched 3/4 Creighton games, and he is still lazy and disappears.
In Creightons offense he seems like a role player at best and is on a short leash with McDermott
I’d be very surprised if he’s a Creighton next year. Maybe he can reunite with Fran at Penn or Harding at TCU….
I’m assuming that would be a “no” for both of those options. Highly doubt TCU would want Freeman’s services, even at a substantially discounted rate. Even Fran knows what Freeman brings or doesn’t bring to a locker room, so I’d be surprised if Penn was an option.
But I’d guess the same that Creighton is a one year stop for Freeman.
After Owen quit on the Fran coached Hawkeyes I can't imagine there's anyway he would ever let him on his team.
To be fair, it appeared Fran quit on the team also. He didn't seem the same as he did before.
2025-26 Hawks are fun to watch!
I think a lot of that had to do with Patrick. I think Fran was told to calm down because it was upsetting to Patrick. And Fran is an all or nothing guy, so he just had to stop and outburst. Watching the one game of him at Penn, he's back to screaming.

fran hasn’t been fran for a few years, but it started when patrick had issues.
Evidently you quit and didn’t see the end of the season.
Because it's impossible for a team that quit to play as hard and connected as they did down the stretch

Maybe the proverbial writing was on the wall regarding Fran's future and everyone knew it. Too bad for Payton Sandfort , he could have transferred to a team with a pulse for his last year.
And then straight to the Celtics where he is a fixture on the court -handing out towels and Gatoraid
I think Creighton would be better off if Owen actually did quit. He hasn’t done anything against an average or above team all year.
