Some observations

I thought Connie was supposed to be a conference contender this year?
What on earth happened to Maryland MBB??
Will Maryland or Rutgers ever be relevant in the B1G?

Even bigger question is what happened to Oregon? They are 8-6 currently and when NW is ahead of you in the NET, you got some problems.

Maryland being down is kinda expected. Lost all their talent to either the Draft or transfers, and a new coach/system. Not everyone is a Ben McCollum. ;)

We landed the big fish with Beth hiring him, and also extremely lucky that he's an Iowa native and grew up a Hawkeyes fan.

Just checked the NET today and we're at #14. Interesting that only Utah St. and we don't have a quad 1 win in the top 20 NET ranks. Everyone else has at least 2. Playing against Sparty and the Clones on the road was indeed difficult.

It was still a loss, but I think only losing by 4 @ ISU meant a lot for the metrics and thus NET ranking.
