Translation: We fire Rhule after a 3-9 2026 season, we lose Trae.
Dannen has a decent track record hiring coaches. Whomever he hires will bring plenty of players. We don't need to worry about recruits that will never play at Nebraska anyway.

I drink the Kool-Aid probably as much as anyone. But asserting that a guy with 212 yards passing in 3 seasons and average per pass of 7.5 yards per completion and 0 TDs during mop-up duty is the savior is a little too speculative to me. His only substantial passing experience was coming in for the 4th Quarter of a 56-23 game against Purdue and managing to go 7-8 for no TDs and 2 of his 3 drives ending on downs. I hope there is more diamond than rough here.
naw, you pretty much summed up the reality of it

I know his limited highlights in college have already been posted, but here's some analysis looking at his HS film. Gotta say. He looked like one heck of a prospect.

Notre Dame usually gets highly sought after players. I suspect he’ll be fine. I doubt they’re done recruiting portal QBs. Need one more IMO.

Man some things never change. Chasing stars over talent yet again. He continually got passed over and recruited over during his time at ND.

Phenomenal athlete. Nebraska is obviously going into a power spread offense. He’s a good fit for this. More athletic than Lateef and bigger. I have my doubts about the coaching he will receive here but I’m glad we are finally moving towards an offense and identity we need to have
I have seen/heard about most any type of O but what is a “power spread” exactly. Personnel, goals of the offense, overpower, cause conflict, running, passing or both?

Dude, are you the hawk fan that started that #winningseason thing?
Also you never said what Burb you were from or why NU is not in that weird nerd club that literally no one cares about.

I don't know why, but I like this kid. I hope he puts a chip on his shoulder plays like he has an axe to grind after sitting the bench for a couple of years.

Good pickup. Has some size, wheels and can throw. Good prospect coming out of high school, and would assume coached up well at ND the past few years. An older, more mature Lateef.

Minchey wins the job, and hopefully Dana calls a Geno Smith (college version) offense around him.
