Agreed. The number of pressures from unblocked linebackers tells me that he was really struggling with diagnosing and appropriately setting protections. Unless he makes serious progress in that area, nfl defenses will eat him alive. And that's why I wouldn't touch Sayin in the NFL...need to see a lot more next year, first time he saw that kind of pressure.
Lots of former OSU and Bama qb names you can add to that list. And that's why I wouldn't touch Sayin in the NFL...need to see a lot more next year, first time he saw that kind of pressure.
I like that Mendoza played in three different conferences in his three years. He’s faced a lot of different teams and a wide range of defensive styles. From an NFL perspective, I would be very cautious drafting QBs at the top who have played on the more established, loaded college programs. Having significant talent advantages across the field in the vast majority of games makes evaluation of the QB difficult. This year the only QB who I like to transition well to the NFL is Mendoza. He has 30 + starts, is a big, strong QB and is smart. He wasn’t heavily recruited out of HS(understands how hard he has to work) . Played at Cal for 2 years and was effective before IU. All the other guys being talked about, Moore , Simpson have many fewer starts, need more experience (imo) and need to get physically more developed. Think they need another year in college.
Add USC to that mix as well.Lots of former OSU and Bama qb names you can add to that list.

Their OL was exposed against Indiana and Miami. Having All-World WRs and QBs is useless if you can't block people. We see this time and time again. Even Patrick Mahomes looks bad with no blocking.OSU is going to spend $50 million on a new oline
