This idiot and his entire coaching staff are making me wish we had Frost and his staff back. And that's quite a place to be.

At least Frost had actual accomplishments on the football field, both as a player (something Rhule doesn't have) and as a coach (something Rhule doesn't have).

When someone shows who they are, our administration needs to start taking their word for it.

With Riley, a career .500 coach who was nice came here and went .500 while being nice. And that result was apparently a surprise. But it is who he was.

Prior to coming on here, Rhule's last stint was getting his *** run out of town on a rail for sucking at Carolina.

That is who he is, and that is going to be his fate here, just remains to be seen whether that takes 1,2, or 3 more seasons.

Next season, all we need is a QB, a RB, a revamped OL, a new defense, and a pair of difference makers on the DL.

Coupled the schedule with the overall suckage and quit on the field the team displayed this season = he's gone.

Enjoy your millions, Matt. You did not earn them, and you CERTAINLY were not loyal to this program during your stint here.

We’ve had 6 coaches since TO. I don’t think we’ve had 6 bad hires in a row. Our problems run deeper than who the head coach is
Bo and Frank were good coaches. So I agree, we didn’t have 6 bad hires in a row. Bill would have been good had he not died on the Coz hill.

Just the last 3 have been bad, IMO

But yes, the problem runs deeper cause someone hired this a** clown

I’ve said that for a while it goes beyond the head coach
So Indiana and Texas Tech had some sort of magical behind the scenes culture built up over decades of not winning anything? I absolutely hate blaming some sort of hidden conspiracy. Rhule was given 80 million guaranteed and enough money to buy a top d-coordinator, keep a top d-line, and pay for the best qb in the nation. He decided to hire Satt as his OC, an OC who had never had an offense rated higher than 70th, and he hire no-names at RB, WR, ST. He then alienate the DC, and even the DT coach who was the best recruiter. He is awful, terrible, no good. Has no clue how to coach in 2025...he wasn't that great in 2016.

He was given everything he needed to win, including enough money to buy the top qb in the nation...and the top DC in the nation at the time. He just wasted it because he sux. Stop acting like there is some curse or malevolent force...outside of incompetence.

Oh i agree. He’s the problem but the powers that hired him and extended him are ultimately the problem. They allowed this and not only allowed it; but encouraged it by extending him.

Hindsight...the team has been blown out 3 times in a row and lost its 5 star starting qb to injury and now transfer. People act like he was extended after the Iowa game. I didn't like it but people would also be whining if he left us with 16 players and no coach, although it really can't get any worse than it is right now. Maybe Dannon will be the first AD to be fired without hiring his football coach.

Almost has that look to it, doesn’t it? How can any grown man lack that much self-awareness?
He is just lost. He had no right to be offered the job, he was at the lowest point of his life and career and Trev called and begged him to come to NU. Then offered him a ridiculous contract. Lincoln is a nice place, and the facilities are really nice. There is much more support than one would expect for such a terrible program. He was four years removed from college football and the transfer portal, NIL, Covid rules, lax eligibility rules were all new. He had no players, few coaches, and he was burned out. Should have turned down the job for our sake and his. I just hope Nebraska doesn't get the "its an impossible job" in the media. He sucks, Frost sucked, Reilly Sucked...the fans have been much more supportive than they should be...the facilities are great, people are nice, classy, the fans show up for trash. Someday it will pay off for good.

At least the fans that made the trip are in Vegas. I genuinely feel bad for everybody that booked flights just to go to that game. This defense is just gotten their *** whipped all year.

Eh, I’m all for supporting the team, but if they made the trip and expected anything different than what happened, hard to feel bad for them. In fact, if anything, they’re part of the problem and f*ck them!

I’ve been saying that it won’t be Rhule that gets us to 10+ wins it will be the coach after him.

B.S. We keep hiring .500 coaches and then are shocked when we get .500 results.

A coach like Kiffin or Lanning would have turned this program around in 2 years.
Lanning and a good Kiffin would never come here. We could have got Kiffin from FAU, maybe...but he would be gone by now. But Day from OSU is just from New Hampshire, Mcguire is from Texas Coaching, Cignetti is from lower division football. Many teams have home-grown guys, others just got lucky. Having Frost be such a bum was a big deal, as he was the one coaching option from the 90s teams. Amazing how all of those guys and nobody became a decent coach. Zac Taylor is obviously an option...he would come to Nebraska...he is the right mentality, very competitive but Nebraska nice, but he doesn't have any players and no experience recruiting. People think we need an outsider, but most teams run with somebody from the inside, that understands the culture and has the blessing of the program gods.

I can agree with some of these points, but Frost over Rhule because he was a decent QB and had 1 nice year at UCF? No way would I take Frost and his staff over Rhule and his current group. Not even close.
