Game is chippy as hell. Why do people keep insisting nobody cares about these other bowl games? Certainly hasn’t been my impression this bowl season.
I’m so sick of hearing the word “targeting.” Clearly, officials on the field and in the replay booths can’t get any consistency on what does and doesn’t constitute “targeting.”
That hit on the Michigan TE checked all three boxes for what is commonly referred to as “targeting”:
1. Defenseless player (check)
2. Defender led with the crown of his helmet (check)
3. Forcible contact to the head or neck area (check)
Not even a stoppage of play to review it while the Michigan player was flat on his back trying to figure out what day of the week it is.
The Nebraska-Michigan Alamo Bowl was the worst officiated game I had ever seen. Coincidentally, it was topped the very next day when we play Florida.
I remember both.
Twenty years later and both are still talked about because of how egregious they were.

Looks like the Michigan Men and Nebraska will let the league down.
Hopefully, Ohio State, Oregon, and Indiana take care of business. As those will be the most visible wins or losses anyway. As far as as conference perception.

I hate that I have to cheer for Ohio State. Not super thrilled about having to cheer for Oregon either.
white men can run!!!! The last few US summer olympics team had a white guy who ran on the 400 adn 200 meter relay teams and he probably ran solo also.
Iowa is better than Michigan, so Iowa should be ranked higher.
Coach sark is a piece of work. He said he was gonna boycott this bowl if he did not make the playoffs. All year he’s been hinting at leaving UT. Now he’s complaining about the portal and NIL. …. Just go
Regarding officiating in bowl games...I'm convinced in their pregame meetings that the refs decide what they're going to call and what they're going to allow.
Holding and pass interference seem low priority.
Offsides and face mask penalties are pretty easy and obvious.
Coaches definitely need to adjust...as did the Vandy coaches with encouraging offensive holding.

Michigan players are always chirping. Every single game. That's why I pull for tO$U against them...
