I don’t go out to a lot of movies these days, but I enjoyed Mickey 17 the most from what I saw.

Same... I think more and more people are shying away from the theater. Covid maybe, comlanies like Netflix and Prime upping their game, cost of the ticket and a beer at the theater, all add up to a hard pass for most folks.

For me, a lot of it is the selection. Sometimes I feel like going to a movie, but everything listed is like ‘nah’. Like you say, you can stream good movies at home for a lot less dinero.

Not sure if anyone here listens to any of the Ringer movie podcasts. They have been doing the top movies of the last 25 years. Number 1 was Social Network, 2 was There Will be Blood

Best movie I watched this year... easily The Goonies.

I will say, Black Rabbit and The Beast In Me were two short series on Netflix this year that were both really good.

Just Finished a few that I liked. The Copenhagen Test on Peacock, The Eastern Gate on HBO Max (Polish with subs) Eternaut on Netflix (Spanish with subs)...anything British and spy related I am down for as well

F1 was my favorite movie this year unless I'm forgetting something. I did like Sinners also. I'm a simple man and artistic garbage doesn't do much for me. For example, can anyone explain why "Out of Africa" won best picture in 1986 and not "Hoosiers?" Make it make sense.

Of the recent releases, I enjoyed Wake Up Dead Man - mainly because Josh Brolin is hilarious as the whacky old priest.

Looking forward to Nuremberg but haven’t seen it yet.

Screens are much larger at home now. I have an okay projector, so everything is on a 90 inch screen

Nuremberg was really good. My son and I saw it and both learned a few things we didn't know.
I was co-workers with a great guy from Kansas whose Dad recently passed away at 101. Jim Sharp fought in the battle of the bulge and was Sergeant of the Guard at Nuremberg. He wrote two books about his war experience. What a life.

F1 was the best this year for sure... probably the best movie to come out since Top Gun Maverick

This is it for me. Only movie I know of I'm even remotely looking forward to seeing in the theater is The Odyssey.
