Halfcourt offense is a serious problem

As others have said, good far outweighs the bad here with Clark. Larger problem in my opinion is low percentage of FGs made between the paint and the arc (only 6 pts). I think that was much more a spacing and positioning problem than Clark’s inability to create. Marquette scored zero between paint & arc so it could be worse.

Clark has been underwhelming
I think he’ll get better as season progresses. Like Aiken and Reynolds. As Holloway gets in his ear he’ll start to see the court like he did. I can see a Clark to Payne connection like

Even though we played sloppy on the offensive side, it will pay off in the long run. Marquette provided a more aggressive defense this team has not seen yet. They looked sharper late in the second half.

I like how Rivera was the one getting paint touches and creating pressure against the zone. He was aggressive going to the basket and made a nice pass for a finish under the basket. He could be our zone buster when teams try to play that card.

Some of it is BE teams getting after us in game planning way better than NC State, USC, or K State ever did.

We also have guys now having bad games here and there. Williams now twice in a row (4/16 last 2), Fisher tonight, and while Simpkins finished strong, he’s only 5/22 last 2 games.
