It's been time for a decade and I fully expect them to lose to the clowns next year.
You're obviously not a true hawk fan because any hawkfan that feels sorry for anything that happened to that s*** bag program is a closet clown fanI don't like Iowa State and I usually hope for them to lose.
But still, I take very little pleasure in what's happened to them in the last few weeks. It's a smaller scale of happened to Drake in basketball. To have your program doing well and then receive daily bad news after the bad news that your coach left kind of sucks.
But since that have beaten the Hawks twice in a row, I'll get over it.

Least Okie St knows they’ll be most likely getting a lot of guys from a really good N Texas team including their great qb. Plus they were so awful so losing lot to portal doesn’t hurt them too much. Isu has lost some good players with qb, wr, TEs and guys in secondary that should all be ending up at other P4 schools.
40 have entered the portal and most of the incoming class were given their release.
oh, how I wish UNI was on their schedule next Fall.
I was looking at their future schedules. In 2 years they open up against SDSU. Too bad wasn’t this year.
Uni is awful. Beyond awful. I think they beat 1 or 2 teams that had scholarship football. Uni will have their hands full with Drake next year.

I think they are at 43 now in the portal.
Really hoping this whole thing sets back their program 10 or so years. That way Iowa can re-establish themselves as the place for in-state recruits to shoot for. Especially with Lester repairing all the damage baby Brian did to the national perception of our offense, hopefully we can start winning over the guys on offense that may have considered the Clowns over us.
I think JUCO is a better option than Cloneville.
Maybe ISU needs to be pilfering the rosters at Coe/Wartburg/Dordt?

Exactly why You hire someone on Staff when Kirk retires that already has won over the locker room , Pre portal Days Kids mostly stayed because You had to sit a Year now only stability and Culture keeps rosters in place and avoids Years of rebuild for non Historically Elite Programs
The difference is coaching vacancies in the B1G/SEC vs everywhere else.
The revenue in these two conferences will always dwarf everyone.

Seems they are leaving since the coach is gone and other opportunities, appears there was little Iowa State offered them to want to stay
Could Ames High play friday nights and then Saturdays in JT and just switch unis?
Their new coach won 2 FCS National Championships, correct? I thought that might give him some credibility, where players might take their time & not jump ship....
