Ouch. Looking at isu Defensive stats Neal was their leading tackler last year and only a soph.
Because the hawks dont get hardly any receivers or QBs in the pros. Beatherd and Smith-Marsette are about the only 2 in those positions to get much playing time the last 10 years
There are 130 other Div 1 programs for these isu portal and recruited players to go to. A lot of them will want to follow Campbell but we will see since psu has a lot of top athletes on their squad.

Has there ever been a transfer from clown college to Iowa?
Need to be very selective. The last thing you want is an ex-clone clique in the Hawkeye locker room. That kind of contamination can taint a program.

Hits keep on coming. Looking at ON3 portal tracker. 2nd leading tackler LB Ebel in it and another LB who played Brezina entered this afternoon. On D now top 8 in tackles from last season all in the portal.
Has there ever been over 30 ISU transfers in the portal including a dozen or so starters?
This feels similar to the Cael Sanderson departure to Penn State in 2009. 16 years later the ISU wrestling program has yet to recover.

Unfortunately their wrestling program appears to have turned it around and finally beat Iowa this year.
But, I get what you mean. They're losing damn near everything and it could take some real time to rebuild.
I definitely could see Patton end up at Iowa. That recruitment came down to the last few weeks if I recall correctly.
I believe Iowa was hot on Trevor Buhr too out of HS.

Don't underestimate the significance of this commit. As much as the clones are going to be punting, it's a huge get.

Pretty sure Buhr is gone too. He’d be a good target for Iowa. Has two years remaining and was heavily pursued by Iowa out of HS.
