We bargain basement facilities when I wrestled, yet myself and others beat some of the best in the country and legends.What we have now is great talent and incredible state of the art facilities, yet the regression is real. There’s no rule that prohibits any individual athlete from making any amount of money. The rules cap schools for total payouts not individuals, and there’s still loopholes through endorsement opportunities.
I think Knox is a better wrestler than Bassett, but Bassett markets himself better than anyone.
It’s irrelevant though, Bassett isn’t coming here and Knox might.

I’m being objective about this.. Basset can wrestle this year and be a title contender. He bonused Joy in folkstyle this year. Knox gave Bouzakis a close match but I cannot as confidently say he has a better chance to win a title this year.

Every deal has to go through the ncaa NIL clearinghouse , this was a huge topic of discussion when Basset Decomitting from Iowa bc his Iowa deal was pre clearing house and the new deal was after and many said he left a lot of money on the table when he switched

Guess u don’t compute that Basset already bonused #2 Joy and #9 Tyus this year in folkstyle… that makes him an instant title contender. You’re probably salty we couldn’t land Basset and I don’t blame u I am too. You think he’s just a better marketer but look at the facts he bonused the #2 guy. Knox is not bonusing any of the top 3 guys at 125 at the moment.
