So the SW Valley basically reverts to the former SWSC minus 'Brook. That leaves the 3 LWs, 3 D230 (Sandburg, Andrew, Stagg), Bradley, H-F and Lockport. Got to wonder how that will shake down. If every team plays every other team, I could see some decent parity among the top 7 of those 9, with 1 loss or even 2 for the eventual conference champs. In this round-robin scenario, 1 team may not win a league game and 1 will probably be pleased with an expanded playoff. Given the last 2 sentences, playing every other team may not happen, to allow some softer non-cons to occur. So how arbitrary will the conference scheduling be (enrollment, past record, blind draw)?. If the 3 LWs are allowed to duck each other, that would seem unfair.
All 3 LW teams play each other next year

They had no problem ducking each other in the previous set up

Where would he coach?
Palatine, if he still has the interest in being HC. I know he was up at one of the Grayslakes the last few years. Today's teens are pretty different than the ones he won with in the early 2000's, but you never know.

You are outta luck. Pearl is going to coach with Osei at Evanston

I’ve heard the same whispers, but nothing concrete from ADs yet. Usually these things leak through scheduling memos before any public word, so the early crossover games you spotted might be the first breadcrumb. I’ve been keeping tabs the same way I track live soccer scores and results today, just refreshing every so often, hoping someone drops a document or a school board agenda item. If I see anything solid, I’ll share it.

Saw this old thread and couldn’t resist adding that I’ve heard a few ADs mention informal talks, but nothing firm yet. Some of the crossover games you’re seeing could just be for filling schedules, not a sign of a full merger. Has anyone heard whether the MSL schools are open to expanding at all, or are they just keeping options open while the DVC sorts things out?
I've hears strictly an agreement between both conferences to play football games nothing more. This is basically replacing the agreement they had with the CSL

With the way the new playoff system has been changed no need for a merger. We dont need other conference schools trying to find them for us either!
