Didn’t see this posted. Looks like Stowers their TE is planning on opting out. Oh well. Can’t be helpful but I’m more worried about Pavia’s running.
Is that why we lost to USC, the other top 15 passing offense we faced this year?Stop the run
Do you watch football? Is that why we lost to USC, the other top 15 passing offense we faced this year?
Because we didn't stop the run enough?............
Eyes of Retard is so retarded that he doesn't take into consideration that this guy won the Mackey Award, making him a real receiving threat. He's so obsessed with the run that he's openly hoping we forget about stopping the pass so we lose the game. Not surprised considering he isn't an actual Hawkeye fan.Is that why we lost to USC, the other top 15 passing offense we faced this year?

It'll definitely help us to have a receiving threat like this not be on the field. But Pavia was a Heisman runner-up for a reason, and both his passing and running ability are something to be wary of, even being down a guy. And sadly, the common thread in all of our losses are teams with great QBs. Moore, Mendoza, Maiava, and Brecht (before he broke midway through the season), are all great players.Didn’t see this posted. Looks like Stowers their TE is planning on opting out. Oh well. Yeah, Brecht must have broke. Otherwise your assertion that he's a great player would have never been true. It'll definitely help us to have a receiving threat like this not be on the field. And as we've also been over before, Phil's priority, and design of the defense, is to stop the run.
Not without stopping the run.![]()
We believe you can stop Pavia's passing ability, Phil!
How many hundreds of times have you heard Phil or pretty much every DC say his D is built around stopping the run? Welcome to football.![]()
Thank you, Kirk and Phil, for being dedicated to stopping the pass! That's what makes Phil's defense so good. Preventing explosive plays has always been Phil's bread and butter. Not sure where we'd be without it.
Iowa played without its No. 1 TE the entire season. Think anyone on the broadcast will mention that? It'll definitely help us to have a receiving threat like this not be on the field. Can't answer the question so you ask another one. That's what I thought.Do you watch football?
If you cant stop the run you will highly likely lose the game. It is much easier to hand the ball off than to pass it to a teammate down field. And as we've also been over before, Phil's priority, and design of the defense, is to stop the run.
It's ok to not know football. Just stop posting about it
This is factually incorrect. And as we've also been over before, Phil's priority, and design of the defense, is to stop the run.

Do you like the crunchy cheetos or the puffy cheetos? How many hundreds of times have you heard Phil or pretty much every DC say his D is built around stopping the run? Welcome to football.
News flash, it's a lot easier to not give up explosive plays when it isn't 2nd and short.
You are far 2Dumb to continue arguing with at this time of night. Peace
I think and want to believe this is a bigger deal than most are making out of it. He won the Mackey and is a big part of their offense. No safety valve for Pavia. I know they have two other TEs they like, but are not as experienced. I like our LBs matching up with inexperienced TEs. Put a spy on Pavia and let the rest take care of itself.Didn’t see this posted. Looks like Stowers their TE is planning on opting out. Oh well. This guy is their reception and receiving yard leader, it’s a big deal. Yea they have other guys, but this is THE guy for Vandy.I think and want to believe this is a bigger deal than most are making out of it. He won the Mackey and is a big part of their offense. He won the Mackey award so it'll be an impact for sure. What has me sweating right now is Pavia's mobility and whether a spy will be effective. Mobile quarterbacks can eat us up sometimes.I think and want to believe this is a bigger deal than most are making out of it. He won the Mackey and is a big part of their offense. 2Different, you are exceptionally weird.![]()
Pavia is a tough challenge, but luckily Kirk and Phil's philosophy of stopping the pass has helped us so much over the years. Let's hope in continues next week! Luckily, a worthless nobody like Eyes of Retard isn't on the staff, or else we'd be in real trouble.
So you tell someone they are factually incorrect while being factually incorrect...This is factually incorrect.
Phil has stated on numerous occasions that the design of his defense is to prevent big pass plays, which is why he wants to commit the minimum he can get away with to the run, so he can run max coverage on the backend to prevent anything over the top.
Arbitrary? Can't answer the question so you ask another one. That's what I thought.
You wouldn't actually know how to answer those questions, so you just throw catch-all blanket comments out or like in this case, try to turn it back on me by avoiding it all together and asking me an arbitrary question instead.
What you say has its truth, and is part of the overall design of the D.This is factually incorrect.

No ****.Stop the run AND the pass.
Yes, I know. It's a big word for you.Arbitrary?![]()
