Do you think Kirk not regrets letting Pat get as close to the program as some have reported now that he has been hired within the conference? I would venture to guess that there is as Pat would have been generally familiar by virtue of being a coach in the same conference, but if he got a lot of behind the curtain looks that is a different ball game.

What position for Levar? I don’t seem him necessarily qualified to be either an OC or a DC. If Levar made a move, I would expect it to be as a head coach at a lower level. I can’t imagine him leaving the Iowa special teams position for the MSU special team position.

Maybe an AHC position would be enticing, but I don’t know that a position like that really moves the needle much in terms of advancing his career.

Also notable: Levar has a son who is a freshman at Iowa — doesn’t meant he couldn’t transfer to follow his dad, but it makes it more important for it to be the right move for Levar.

I'd put it on the short list. I've been to all B1G campi except Maryland, USC, and Oregon. West Lafayette and East Lansing would be bottom tier IMHO.

This would not surprise me. Brian is a good coach. Just not a good KF OC. But nobody was. Lester has a Much longer leash than any other OC under Kirk.

I am guessing Brian will stay with Fresno State in the new PAC12. They have a CFP contract thru 2032. And Fresno State has been a consistently good team the last several years... The PAC12 will be interesting. They raped the MWC. Which has been a good conference for a while now. They will be the 5th best conference for certain.
