I’ve been seeing speculation on message boards and on X that Drew Allar was the one who recorded/leaked the Pat Kraft conversation. Does anybody have any proof or why they think it’s him?
All speculation on the leaker but that person(s) should be ashamed of their part(s) in the leak.I’ve been seeing speculation on message boards and on X that Drew Allar was the one who recorded/leaked the Pat Kraft conversation. Does anybody have any proof or why they think it’s him?

What player is it coming from?I've seen the same speculation. Given the fact that the group in that room was small and that the speculation is coming from one of the known participants, it's likely true.
I'll add one....NIL Tesla driver. You are being too kind towards the audio leaker.
More appropriate phrases that fit the audio leaker:
Treacherous weasel
Scumbag
Benedict Arnold
Parasite
That’s certainly an interesting possibility, considering that there was reportedly at minimum a conflict of interest that existed and at worst tampering with the recruiting class.Probably a staffer who went to vtech
Whoever released it, it appears that in the end it may have helped rebuild Kraft’s reputation. We all know he mishandled parts of the search process, but what was very much evident in that video is that he is totally committed to improving this football program.Did Drew think he was doing PSU Football Inc a favor by releasing this audio?
Someone needs to figure out who was sitting in close proximity to Drew. The audio quality was too good. That’s certainly an interesting possibility, considering that there was reportedly at minimum a conflict of interest that existed and at worst tampering with the recruiting class.
That’s why I was glad to see him get canned. He was too soft and tried to be everyone’s buddy instead of the head coach.Eventually the truth will come out, whether it’s Allar or otherwise, and it will tarnish someone’s reputation forever. While James was obviously not there anymore, the fault lies with him for the degradation and rot in the 2025 locker room.
Isn’t Pennsylvania still a two party/all party consent state when it comes to recording conversations? Not that anyone will be pressing charges…..
Did Drew think he was doing PSU Football Inc a favor by releasing this audio?
1. No I don't.1. You don't know who released it.
2. Weren't you all ready to fire Kraft before the tape was leaked?
At the very least the circumstances are hard to argue with.1. You don't know who released it.
2. Weren't you all ready to fire Kraft before the tape was leaked?
Allar recorded and released the tape.
Every single man in that room, that's who.According to who?
How can you be so certain? Making potentially incorrect accusations on line could actually open you to libel claims.Allar recorded and released the tape.
Why lie?Every single man in that room, that's who.
Maybe on a phone. I doubt that applies to public conversations.
Understanding Pennsylvania's Two-Party Consent Law
Pennsylvania is one of the few states that require all parties in a conversation to consent before a conversation can be legally recorded. This rule applies to in-person, telephone, and electronic communications under 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. § 5703.
Violating this law is considered a third-degree felony, punishable by:
Fines
Imprisonment
Potential civil liability for damages
Unlike one-party consent states, where only one participant can legally record a conversation, Pennsylvania's strict two-party consent law means that secretly recording conversations—even in the workplace—can lead to severe legal consequences.
Exceptions to Pennsylvania's Two-Party Consent Law
Although Pennsylvania's law is strict, some exceptions exist:
Public Conversations: If a conversation takes place in public, where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy, it may be recorded. For example, a loud argument in a public park could be recorded without violating the law.
Law Enforcement Exceptions: Courts may allow recordings by law enforcement officers under specific circumstances, such as with a court-approved wiretap.
Implied Consent: If one party makes it clear that the conversation is being recorded and the other continues speaking, courts may consider that implied consent. However, this is a gray area and should not be relied upon without legal advice.
And global warming too I suppose.Eventually the truth will come out, whether it’s Allar or otherwise, and it will tarnish someone’s reputation forever. While James was obviously not there anymore, the fault lies with him for the degradation and rot in the 2025 locker room.
I was indifferent to Kraft pre-leak. Now I can't believe he hasn't been fired. Why is a school administrator addressing the team like this? Why is he at all? Why is he calling out current players on the team in front of players on the team? Total scumbag. Fire Kraft.Whoever released it, it appears that in the end it may have helped rebuild Kraft’s reputation. We all know he mishandled parts of the search process, but what was very much evident in that video is that he is totally committed to improving this football program.
I'll offer a different opinion, probably reflective of my age. "Total commitment" to improving the football program is a low bar. Any AD at PSU has that as a primary goal. If they don't, we had better get someone else. PSU sports does not survive without a successful football team. But his persona, his delivery, his tact is disappointing to say the least. He is talking to young men making seven figure salaries. He also is highly compensated. He represents the university in front of the players. We are trying to produce solid citizens while they win games. That is our brand. His behavior was "off brand". His penchant for speaking poorly about other players, by name, is lacking professionally. His denigration of other programs was cheap and sophomoric. I expect more from a university leader. It's quite a juxtaposition. He behaves likes this privately while jetting around on the University jet with a jacket and tie trying to recruit a coach to run the program. I would prefer a little consistency in the messaging and behavior. I don't equate commitment with language and antics that fall below the line.Whoever released it, it appears that in the end it may have helped rebuild Kraft’s reputation. We all know he mishandled parts of the search process, but what was very much evident in that video is that he is totally committed to improving this football program.
In both cases it exposed an a**hole. What Drew did was akin to sticking your phone under a womans room stall.
Agreed, the culture was bad. It must improve.Among fans, far more people seem to be concerned that the disfunction of the program (from the top down) is exposed - rather than the disfunction itself.
Not surprising, of course. That's what (most) fans do.
No doubt (IMO at least)Agreed, the culture was bad. It must improve.
Did you hear Kraft on that recording? No doubt (IMO at least)
Do you think PSU Athletics has the leadership - at the top - with the proper maturity and intellect to instill the desired culture?
