Another season has come and gone. We were counting down the days, and now we already saying goodbye. I'll admit, I fully expected this team to win it all, but that's not to say there weren't any surprises this year. Viking fans, I am interested in hearing what were some of the biggest surprises this year for you all? I'll start, again, I felt this team would win it, but I didn't know if they could run the table with the difficult schedule.

I admittedly was worried about how the season would go after how we looked against Rocky Mount to open the season. But the way Tarboro responded afterwards by knocking off the teams they did gave me tons of confidence. Once the playoffs started I knew unless Tarboro played a very bad game, they were going to be very hard to beat.

Tarboro doesn’t rebuild. They reload. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them contend for another title next season. They have a good program. I got to see them in the State Championship game. They were definitely the dominate team. And again Congratulations to Tarboro for State Title win!

He is a tremendous motivator. He is also really competitive. He's never content! Many would've been fat and happy years ago, but not him, he keeps grinding.

I appreciate your kindness. I think we will contend again next year, but it would not surprise me if we take a step back next year. There have been folks who have said if you're going to get us in 2A, next year is the year to do it. We shall see. Again, I appreciate your kind words.

Another good thing about Coach Craddock is he is loyal and content where he is. I would be shocked if he has not had offers over the years to coach in much bigger cities at much bigger schools. If he has, clearly he has turned them all down and seems very happy in Tarboro.

Kind of a crazy stat but since the start of the 2017 season Tarboro is:

122 wins and 6 losses.

They’ve won 6 state championships in that time-frame.

So Tarboro has won just as many state championships as they’ve had losses in the last 9 seasons.
How about only 1 L from 17-20. Three perfect seasons, and the one loss to East Surry in 19. Tremendous run!

He's stated in past interviews he's gotten offers from bigger schools. The day he retires it's gonna be some huge shoes to fill for whoever fills that position.

How good are the Middle School programs that feed Tarboro football progtam? Any of them that might be good enough to play varsity as a Freshmen?

And how good are the Middle School programs that feed North Edgecombe?
