Apparently you’re not familiar with Bucee’s down south, in Texas, and other southern states. I’d say they’re better than Wawa and Sheetz by a country mile.I work for a large foodservice manufacturer and i call on both Sheetz and Wawa. People who live in areas where their stores are located have no idea how lucky they are to have this conversation. The other 85% of the US does not have anything close to the foodservice offerings of these two retailers. Other than Kwik Trip in Wisconsin and possibly Maverik in Utah there's nothing like a Sheetz or a Wawa. When PA did not allow beer to be sold in convenience accounts both accounts had to move in a different direction for sales dollars.

Brass Rail Cheesesteaks were legendary!Sheetz is in the process of building a store on Lehigh St. in Allentown. It is located near the RT 78 access and exit and near where the Brass Rail was located.
We finally got a Wawa in Northeren VA and have to say wasn't overly impressed, had free coffee for a week and didn't care for it. I finally hit my first Buc-ee's not long ago, wow no damn comparison. That place is a convenience store on steroids. Not sure why I am excited by this, maybe because I am a Philly transplant. I like Sheetz but I think Wawa offers more made to order food. For example, Wawa has mashed potatoes but Sheetz doesn't. I am not a fan of Rutters or Uni-Marts. I do like the Sheetz gas discounts on their rewardz card but not sure if Wawa has something similar.
Curious to where they decide to put the Wawa. Rutters is supposedly putting a store at Blue Course and W. College Ave in that open space before the car dealer.

If this thread leads into a which is better Sheetz vs Wawa, I want to apologize in advanced before it hits the crapper.
Its the Jerky aisle, section, 1/4 of the store that does it for me.They’re not convenience stores though. They’re tourist attractions-rest areas/pseudo-retail/quick service food stores with gas pumps and restrooms. I don’t know how any place with 100 gas pumps is better than anywhere else on the planet.

Except in State College Sheetz gas is still $ 3.69 to $ 3.79 / gallon ( often different prices at both ends of town ) and I can buy gas for $ 3.29 to $ 3.49 from other suppliers elsewhere.Another reason Sheetz is the best![]()
Agree to disagree, love Sheetz Coffee and Glazed DonutsExcept in State College Sheetz gas is still $ 3.69 to $ 3.79 / gallon ( often different prices at both ends of town ) and I can buy gas for $ 3.29 to $ 3.49 from other suppliers elsewhere.
And let’s face it. Sheetz coffee and food sucks.
Sheetz needs to have mashed potatos on their menu like Wawa.Except in State College Sheetz gas is still $ 3.69 to $ 3.79 / gallon ( often different prices at both ends of town ) and I can buy gas for $ 3.29 to $ 3.49 from other suppliers elsewhere.

Wawa's menu is good compared to Sheetz'. None of them are like home made. But Wawa's mashed potatoes are good. Also, their Gobbler sandwich (thanksgiving dinner in a roll) is great!Sheetz needs to have mashed potatos on their menu like Wawa.
Stopped at the Buc ees in Florence on way back from Savannah - What a sh&t show - 10 billion people - 100 gas pumps but couldn't get to one of them - never again but I hear the brisket is tasty.Buc ee's

Wawa food is garbage. Haven’t patronized a Wawa in years despite them being all over my neck of the woods.Maybe twenty years ago a Wawa coming to town was something to look forward to? Their quality has sunk a great deal from the days I would drop in a suburban Philly store and take a couple subs home with me. I am not the only one to think this way. Their rolls and sandwich ingredients have become average at best. I understand they have to be price competitive, but to do that they gave up their once unique qualitative advantages?
BTW, Sheetz has it all over them regarding coffee.
Sheetz food is gross. I stopped on the way home from a game last year and got a “chicken”? sandwich. If you can even call it chicken. I doubt it was real chicken. It had a sorry piece of Kraft singles fluorescent orange “cheese” product on it that was too fake to even melt. No thanks. I grew up in Sheetz territory and prefer Wawa for food, coffee, and overall store appearance.Maybe twenty years ago a Wawa coming to town was something to look forward to?
