How about the guts of preps coach to call a FG on that situation when you haven’t lined up for one all year
Not guts at all. Bad coaching or a lack of coaching cost them 10 yds and the only thing he could do was try that kick. Should have spread the offense out and thrown a pass to the tight end on a short out inside the 5. Would have been wide open but they can’t do that. Didn’t get to watch anything but the last 5 minutes. Probably a good thing cause this had to be a sloppy game.

Honestly, if Wilson Preps lines up and runs designed QB runs with receivers spread out wide over and over again all game, they probably break enough to win this game by 10+.
I agree should have spread it at goal line. That offense they run don't work against good defensive line. Robbinsville should have thrown it more. That drive before half took less than 2 minutes.

Expected more toughest from Robbinsville and so called mtn ball. Too much limping around for my liking. All those playoff blowouts didn’t do them any favors.

Robbinsville also had WP in a fourth and seven on that last drive and had two pass rushers get in the backfield. The WP QB sidestepped them and ran for the first down, but a sack there wins the game as well.
The WP qb is really a good RB. If they had a decent pocket passer they would really be good with 5 as a rb.

The fake punt was a bad call only because it didn't work out. They had a wide open receiver just past the sticks, right in the space that was vacated by the two defenders that rushed the player that was supposed to throw. He never looked his way. As soon as he got the ball, he took off in the opposite direction. It was a first down all day. Imagine how much we would be glazing the call had the execution been successful.

Robbinsville had every chance in the world to win that game and just didn't execute. Fumbles, bouncing runs to the outside instead of following good blocking, penalties, etc... Some unfortunate injuries didn't help either, but those are the breaks. The Knights looked to be the much better team, but the coaches can only do so much for you. That's why they play the games, I guess. All you can do is tip your hat and get ready for next year. I do feel bad for the seniors. That is a tough way to go out.

Last thing I’ll say about this game is credit to Wilson Prep coach for loading up the non conference schedule. I think that helped them tonight. It was a big gamble because he could’ve very easily lost the team when they were 1-5. I’m not a fan but credit to them for sticking together.

Robbinsville is going to beat Wilson Prep so bad, their big fat coach will probably cry.

He telling truth. Prep was just as physical if not more.
They knocked the ball out a couple times but they weren’t more physical. Our smaller line was better than their big boys. Mistakes are what cost us the game. We didn’t get out played. They weren’t more physical. They made a good play at the end of the game and we helped em out giving them good field position. Hindsight is 20/20. I’m sure if coach ford could go back, he’d punt the ball. It’s a gamble and we rolled the dice and lost. We were down our “best” back. Backup got knocked out and Collins has been dealing with an ankle sprain. We were banged up. If people are gonna say there was too much limping around, they should probably have the full story. I promise you if it were up to the players, they would have played with 2 broke legs or their head knocked off. Sometimes coaches have to shut em down.

Doesn't robbinsville's coach coach girls basketball too? Talk about two totally different sports

And here I was, expecting a bag full of excuses from Prep's coach if they were the ones that lost....

I watched some of this game from the deer stand - what kind of hunter am I? Certainly a Boone and Crockett monster slipped by while I viewed these young men giving it their all.

I was impressed by the physical play of both teams, “fly around and put the hat on somebody”. (Quoted my football coach - Joe Miller)

I didn’t see a great difference in team speed either. Just two good teams doing what they could to win a title.

I was pulling for the Knights. That may be what did them in.
