After last season, I was thinking this shows why ND will never think about joining a conference.

Not that getting the snub will change their thinking, but great to see they are not necessarily a in every season.

I am guessing we are going to see teams weaken their OOC games even more.

DeBoer wasn't interested in talking about the opening. Alabama got blown out in conference championship game.

Freeman wasn’t interested in talking about the opening. Notre Dame was left out of playoffs.

Big Ten should drop every scheduled game with them for all sports. There isn’t any real incentive to play them anyway. No one cares what fans want and schools are turtling up - it’s all about easy schedules and wins. They say they have to fend for themselves? Let them.
