I’m not even sure they have to wait with a coaching change?
Not like the uthoff days anymore where coach and school holds them hostage. Like Fran did when he came in when kids ask out schools let them walk. Awful PR if they don’t. There will definitely be guys from isu and wazzu class who ask out.

Yeah guys can void their commitment. But the other schools who had interest moved on. So it's not as easy as well I'll just go with my #2 choice.
But a school like Iowa should have more scholarships with the size of our senior class and guys portaling out.

They can’t “void their commitment”. The portal opens for ISU players in 5 days. Hawk fans are just comical.

Of he did. I would guess Matt informed him weeks ago and he was leaving and both sides agreed to wait.

although because of this Campbell will have his work cut out for him building a roster after a putrid signing day.

Why would any Parent or Recruit in the future ever trust Your POS program that knew Campbell was leaving and had a new Coach already hired to announce 5 minutes after Campbell walked and had not even addressed the locker room yet ? Your scumbag AD and program allowed an entire Class to sign under fraudulent conditions lying to everyone of them including Their Families . If You had any standards and honor over there everyone of Your donors and the fanbase would be demanding Pollards head instead meh it is ok to screw over those Kids and Their Families , nothing to see here, Piss on the lot of You .

Because ISU doesn’t have trust issues. We haven’t settled suits with former coaches for discriminatory actions. We haven’t settled suits with student athletes because the actions of the staff put them at risk during training. We haven’t been sued by multiple former players for racial discrimination. We haven’t had a staff member attempt to cover up a sexual assault by a student athlete on another student athlete, for which the offender ended up going to prison. Yep, it all comes down to trust.

Unfortunately, none of any of that matters. Pollard will use this as a fundraising opportunity and it will probably work.
And it’s hard to generate any sympathy for kids who got “screwed over” by the AD now that they can leave whenever they want and still play. And they collect a paycheck. If they’re unhappy in Ames, I’m sure the good folk in Lawrence or Stillwater would be happy to have them.

"ISU doesn't have trust issues..."

They do now...or they should (if they're not stupid).

Pollard stabbed the fanbase in the back. 🤣

This does smell of something that was in the works for awhile But how long? Supposedly, PSU was courting other candidates as recently as this week. It's still a pretty fast move to Rogers. He must had previous (just in case) talks with Pollard.

Pretty sure isu was sued when a couple of rowers drowned. Been others as well

Not how the alumni and donors see it. They are the key components. Fans like you don’t provide much relevance.
Did you cry crocodile tears along with Jaime as he was spoon feeding his scoops full of ********?

At least Chrissy William's tears seemed real.

Came across as a total *****, but still...😢

You ever talk to that Iowa State fan who’s so obsessed with the Hawkeyes he physically can’t answer a normal question?

You say, “Nice day out,” and he snaps back:

“Yeah… Iowa probably thinks they invented sunshine.”

At that point it’s like,

Bro, you’ve got Hawkeye issues. Tremendous ones.

Yeah they can. Recruits can go to school and ask to be released from their letter of commitment and up to the school. Obviously with a coaching change the chances of it happening are very good. Situation at isu isn’t first time it’s happened in last few years where coach leaves after signing day.

portal is 30 days for current plays on roster at isu right now after coach leaves plus I believe Jan 2nd for everyone else to start signing with new school who isn’t a grad transfer.

They don’t even need to ask for a release, which is the point. The transfer portal opens for ISU 5 days after Campbell’s official departure.

umm…, wasn’t there a brother? of a DSM sport columnist working for ISU and part of a team that got busted with underage girly pics on ISU athletic dept computers? what about Fennely and mental abuse against WBB players that got settled behind the scenes? Hoyboy and his using university and city popo to intercept issues with his MBB player assaults? and the MBB guard from DSM convicted of sexual assault and had AD staff and coach trying to intercede and get charges dropped? who cares when it was…don’t give us your holier than shat diatribe from ClownTown.
Want more? hiring a wife beater to FB staff, big lineman beating up student and stealing phone and other domestic assault charges, former MBB player deciding to break and enter thru multiple doors to rob and assault till he took a few slugs…. ISU athletics just puts out such wonderful people

So ISU discovers once again that it is not a "destination job" for good-to-great head coaches with a reasonable amount of ambition. This is no surprise, but it is a pleasant reminder. It should be interesting to see how Campbell reacts to what will surely be a much higher level of pressure to succeed at a far higher level at PSU.

If the Penn State job had opened up 15 to 20 years ago, would KF, a Pennsylvania native who admired Paterno and his program, have been a candidate? If PSU offered, would he have taken it and left Iowa?

It's a legit question. 20 years ago KF was turning down interviews from NFL teams. He was an assistant with the Browns/Ravens for six seasons. Eventually he got a big raise to keep him at Iowa and it worked out nicely.

They can request to be released from their commitment. And that request must be granted.

Or, "void their commitment" would be a perfectly acceptable way of saying it.

Go away.

"They don’t even need to ask for a release"

So they're commitment is void. "Void their commitment" is a correct way of saying it.

You're a douchebag.

go away gtfo GIF
