This so reminds me of when Steve Pederson screwed Nebraska by firing Frank Solich and Nebraska has never recovered, one can only hope.

One big difference is that no top program ever hired Frank afterwards, Franklin was snatched up in short order, and likely had other options.

State Pen fkd this up worse than Pedersen did at NU.

One glaring similarity were the claims of how the next coach would do all the things that the just fired one could not.

Go read their board, it is funny, but those of us that watched Pedersen destroy NU, cannot but see the very real parallels.

Championship or bust is a high bar for any coach, and not many seem interested.

I guess what I'm seeing and I could be wrong but it seems no solid coach is jumping for that job right now. The PSU job seems toxic to me just like Nebraska job was when Pedersen dropped the hammer on Solich. I could be wrong on this but it just seems so similar.

No I got the point perfectly. The way a couple of threads have weaponized his family is jacked up.

You are too dumb to understand the manipulation that Rhule uses. He uses his children and wife to cover for his decisions and give him an out later so he doesn't look like he made the wrong decision. There is so much wrong with it, that it actually makes me want him gone even more. The fact that you actually think it is a compliment is really messed up. He merely should have said that he loves Lincoln and leave it at that. Even if the family stuff happened, you keep that private. Anybody who works with people or has employees knows you don't tell them that you are only staying because a family member likes it here. ******* move.

I think just because Rhule is the one who brought it up? I am not sure. I don't really care why he stayed, I wish he would have gone. I would rather have the fun of a coaching search instead of the lameness of having Rhule back.
