We all like to talk about the what ifs vs. Oregon, USC, Indiana, and Iowa State. What if we lost to Michigan State (1-8 in B1G play) at home this year? We were very fortunate to beat them. What if we lost to to 3-6 MSU in 2024? We did. What if we lost to 3-6 UCLA in 2024? We did.

We were also somewhat fortunate to get out of 2-7 Rutgers this year with a W, and we trailed by 11 points at home in the second half to 3-6 Penn State.

Credit goes to this team for coming back in those games, but those "what ifs" also need to be considered. We had plenty of "what ifs" go our way this year.

I can think of four games this fall where the "what ifs" did not go Iowa's way.

When coaches say it is hard to get a win in the Big Ten, pretty much every week. They are being truthful, not coach speak.

Don’t show up with your A game, and you might end up in a dogfight with a cellar dweller.

Correct, and if your QB does stuff like the Vikes' Brosmer, who played for the Goofers last year, who threw that totally terrible PIck 6 while being tackled, and you have some other bad crap and boom you lose.

This is ridiculous. Go look at almost every power 5 team and you can pretty much say that about every team out there except the top 4-5 teams. Texas almost lost to Kentucky and Mississippi St. so they could have lost 5 games. They didn’t. Not sure what point you’re going for here.

Be thankful the B10 likes their senior coaches, the few there are anymore. That Sparty finish was laughable, obvious PIs on the final drive, no flags LOL. The schedule and the home cooking KF receives each year is the biggest reason he is allowed to hang around for 3 decades.

sort of. In every one of the Hawks' losses, they were out-played.
Iowa St, Oregon, and USC it was obvious. Couple of calls kept the Hawks in the Clone game. Ducks ran all over the dline but the rain allowed the Hawks to hang. Rain also helped vs USC, but they just woke up in the 2nd half and pulled away, 20-0. Both the Ducks and USC were missing a bunch of players too. After we saw the Hawk secondary vs USC, no way do they cover that freak Duck TE that was missing.
Just be glad Gronk won the PennSt game with those runs and the Sparty game with those keys passes.

What are you talking about? Nebraska didn't play Iowa State or Oregon this season. Also Gronk is a retired NFL tight end. I truly don't understand your infatuation with pretending to be an Iowa fan and doing it so poorly.
