I don't know who I expected Penn State to be targeting but it wasn't this guy. Seems like a round peg in a square hole.
PSU fans must be freaking out watching all the big name coaches get gobbled up all while they fired Franklin about two months ago.
Kalani Sitake is the name you're looking for. Seems like an odd fit but I can see why he'd jump if they're left out of the playoffs.I don't know who I expected Penn State to be targeting but it wasn't this guy. Seems like a round peg in a square hole.
KF needs a change. We all need a change. KF to Penn State, his dream job anyway! he has 10 years left.So they were like the first big school to dump their coach and they're going to be the last to find a replacement?

If we can’t keep Parker or Wallace, so be it.Familiarity with the program, the culture, the recruiting base, the fans, the administration, the conference, etc. is obviously not required, but it can be very valuable. Especially in a successful program like PSU. Starting from scratch with a new coach from 2,000 miles away doesn't sound like a good move to me - but what do I know?
Personally I would be inclined to hire someone from within or a B1G head coach or coordinator - or a former B1G head coach or coordinator.
Similarly with Iowa - there is so much more good in the program than there is bad. I'd rather not completely start over.
On the other hand, the basketball program needed a total reboot - and it got one.
Apply for that Job, Kirk!KF needs a change. We all need a change. KF to Penn State, his dream job anyway! he has 10 years left.

Because they've always been such a wrestling powerMaybe they're sticking to hiring Mormon head coaches with ties to Utah. It worked out well for their wrestling team.
