How can you say that? He’s doing what is best for his bank account. Period. He’s winning at Ole Miss already.
I’m not talking about the leaving for more money part. I’m talking about the taking his staff with him part.

Based on what?

What do you mean? Based on them paying the buyout to fire Brian Kelly because he wasn't getting it done to their expectation levels and backing up the brinks trucks to hire their first choice of the guy who they think can. What part don't you get?

You said he would probably get it done and my question is based on what?

We’ll see how it works out for them. It hasn’t worked lately for UF or FSU.

He’s a fool. They would have built statues to him in Ole Miss. I’ll bet he’ll be fired at LSU by year 5.

Maybe. There's also a good chance he'll be in the title game next year. He'll essentially have 2 full good to great SEC rosters to keep the best of the best from. Think about that for a second 😳

Oh, gotcha. Based on the fact that he has Ole Miss in the playoff I guess. Hell, I don't know if he will. I just know LSU knew what they wanted and took their shot and got it done. Aka big boy football. You know, pretty much the opposite of giving an extension to someone who's obviously NOT getting it done.

I’m an ole Miss fan, too. He can do whatever he wants. It may pay off and it may backfire but this is the business. And frankly, he deserves it. He did a hell of a job building Ole Miss into a perennial power. I can’t root for lsu and I wish he would have stayed but he controls his destiny and unfortunately, the timing of this thing couldn’t have been worse. But again, that’s how this works.

Hopefully Weis stays too. Their offense was bad ***

I like Lane as a coach, but hes never won a conference title or played for one and it blew me away when they stated that the win over Oklahoma was his first over a ranked opponent on the road in 6 years at Ole Miss. I think LSU is thinking Lane is something he hasn't proven to be as of yet.

I just think it was classless to do this to Ole Miss especially IF they matched the offer.

Yes, and no. Don’t for a moment think these guys are unaware of the landscape of college football. You’re basically coaching one year at a time. The team has done so well that those guys are all very employable.
He said it himself, he can go from them being scared that he will leave to wanting him fired in one week. He wasn't hot **** until Ole Miss started winning recently and was basically a qb injury away from being fired. The sport is just sick from top to bottom.

Feeling don’t matter. He’s gotta do what’s best for him. If he deems it the best he’s gotta go

Kiffen burning down the house on the way out. Lol. I think it's a requirement if you're being hired by LSU

While I agree, if you really look at Ole Miss history, they have sucked.

All of this makes it even funnier when people think these guys are shaping young men and leader of men and teaching young me all these important things...

It is like that weirdo iowa fan that posts here and says he would never let his kids play for a team I coach because of blah blah blah and blah blah blah.

We are not hear to teach your kids how to be good adults, that is your job. Just like it is not my job as a teacher to teach your kids who to vote for or crap like that.

Be a parent, iowa fan, be a parent. Sorry, I would add him but I don't know all the weird screen names

I swear Lane Kiffin lives off hate and trolling people. Probably one of the reasons was too many people liked him in Ole Miss and he had to fix that by leaving for LSU. I hope he flops and his contract is so big that LSU is stuck for a decade with him.

If Nebraska had hired him and turned Nebraska around he would’ve jumped at the first opportunity to a sec school then he takes Nebraska’s best players with him, people might not be happy with Rhule but lane would have left us with a bigger mess
