I'm not sure I have this right, but it looks as thoug at 10-2 they are being snubbed fromthe CFP?

if so,they could be our bowl oppoent in Tampa. Their QB is supposedly one of the five finalists for the Heisman.

Yikes! Somebody please weigh in on these thoughts, or refer me to a nearby mental hospital (or both)

If the bowl provides an opportunity to snap Iowa's winless streak against ranked opponents, LFG!

They’re obviously a good/great team.

Not sure I like our chances in this matchup. But, if we can play like we did against Indiana and Oregon, we’ll have a chance.

The trend of players opting out of Bowl games hurts the Hawks more than many other teams(depth) if we have many sit out.

It does become an advantage however, if most of our starters play.

Wait til they show Vandy’s QBs mom like a dozen times during the game.

He better not opt out 😂

I think it depends if Pavia plays or not. Vanderbilt is TOUGH. Jerry Kill is actually on staff there. I remember a few years ago when Milton of Tennessee opted out against Iowa, and Iowa ended up facing the now UCLA QB. Looks like Blaze Berlowitz is their #2 QB. Also a New Mexico State transfer which is the Jerry Kill connection.

Their QB “portaled- in”from New Mexico State a couple of years ago. There he played for the old Minnesota coach who resigned for health reasons…he was very good for NMSU and has really stepped up at Vandy. Yes, he has been that good at Vandy this season.

Hard to be snubbed when every team above you won aside from TAM who was ranked #3.

If Vandy doesn't make the CFP, it's just further evidence that the field should be expanded, preferably to the 24 teams the BIG is proposing, which would put FBS in line with every other college football playoff, from D-III on up, in terms of percent of teams that make the field.

It's just too much. 16 teams is where it should be with no byes. We will see if those SEC rankings actually mean anything from the playoff.

Their QB isn't as good as the 3 other QBs we had to face from Indie,USC ,Oregon. What are their WRs like?

I was just going to say that I was thinking that Vandy is due to come back down to earth once they lose Pavia. Um...nevermind.
