ESPN has MSU a 5.5 point favorite. I'd almost prefer the Hawks to be double digit dawgs.

I have Izzo PTSD - seems like the Hawks have been the better team and lost many times to him.that's it????
Very rarely have we been the better team. While I’m very much a believer in McCollum and this team, this looks like one of Izzo’s better teams of late. 5.5 seems pretty light. I’m certainly not counting us out, and I guess Vegas isn’t either.I have Izzo PTSD - seems like the Hawks have been the better team and lost many times to him.
Wtf.game starts out 0-0 either way.
Ben McLickliter will have the boys ready.
Big Z: Not sure if “very rarely” would be an accurate characterization. The all-time record is 77-60 Michigan St. I also looked up the record since 2015. It’s 8-5 Mich St. They certainly have won more than us, but we have had some good wins against them, too, which made us a better team. Of course, AI can be inaccurate. So, please lmk if I’m wrong.Very rarely have we been the better team. A side note: the most emotional Iowa win against Mich St came after Chris Street’s passing at Mich St when we were behind by double digits and came back in the last few minutes and won. This was when Acie Earl had Chris’s number 40 shaved in the back of his head. I think we followed that win with one against Michigan at home.
There was no tournament till 1998, no? Not sure which screw job you’re referring to. Please remind me.remember the screw job in the B1G Tournament?
If history is any good indicator. This will happen. To win, but my guess is the officials get ticky tack with Iowa's D.
Classic "trap game".Hopefully MSU is thinking more about their game with Duke on Saturday![]()
No way Carr has a 52 inch standing vert. The couple of times I've seen MSU play they looked very good.
That carr has 52 inch vertical? Athletic freak.
Big guy has soft hands and skills
Their pg fears is a magician with ball.
Just cannot see hawks handling them..just ever matched.
This could be izzos last FF team.
that's it????
College basketball lines are heavily computer generated until about the 2nd week of the NFL playoffsVery rarely have we been the better team. 2013 BTT I think. That loss kept us out of the NCAAs.There was no tournament till 1998, no? Not sure which screw job you’re referring to. Please remind me.

Oh, yes, now I remember. We were up most of the game by double digits. And the refs called a foul on Marble and things went south from there. We ended up as the runner-up in the NIT that year. Tough loss against Michigan State, courtesy of the refs!2013 BTT I think. That loss kept us out of the NCAAs.
It was 2013 as EvilMonkey said. I almost never complain about the refs. I was furious after that game!I forget what year it was....hopefully somebody remembers....
If we had beaten MSU we likely would have made the NCAA Tournament but some very questionable officiating helped us lose the game.
I would guess you are correct but Izzo has said it is a program record and MSU has had some high flyers like Jason Richardson in pastNo way Carr has a 52 inch standing vert.
They're citing verticals that include gather steps these days. Just makes it more confusing. Standing vert has always been the standard.
That said, Carr can SKY

Yeah, they knocked marble down at the top of the key, it was such an egregious call that it threw the whole team off kilter. Then MSU beat there chest like they were awesome. One of the worst screwjobs I'd everxseenI forget what year it was....hopefully somebody remembers....

Keep it close and beat MD Saturday and that is a good weekESPN has MSU a 5.5 point favorite. I'd almost prefer the Hawks to be double digit dawgs.
No chance that this Michigan St team is not going to make the final four, my expectations for tomorrow's game is for Iowa to hang in there and not cave in like last years team did at Wisconsin. Nobody that knows college basketball is going to give Iowa even a slim chance to win tomorrow so go there and let it all hang out and let the chips fall where they may. That's my expectations. It's not like Iowa has never won at the Breslin Center before. The couple of times I've seen MSU play they looked very good.
