Hickory would be wonderful for the 2a game. Takes just over3 hours to get there from here.
i looked on max preps 1A and 8A showing there games Thursday didn't have a time of 4:00 o'clock or 8:00 o'clock for either one yet
Why in the hell aren't they playing 1A and 8A next weekend? There is no reason not to.
i agree with you 100% wish they would but it will be this way for now on probably.
Because that would require using common sense....
According to Google it's 3 hours 8 minutes from Murphy and 3 hours and 41 minutes from Tarboro. About as central a location as you'd find if it's those two teams in the title game.
Nope that would be an unfair advantage for Murphy. Those extra 30 minutes are too far 
If Murphy wins Friday I bet Lenoir rhyne hosts 2a. If starmount wins I could see any of the three stadiums hosting the game.

There is one thing we can probably bet on. 8A and probably even 7A will be in Chapel Hill.
LR is the interesting situation, especially if Hickory, Maiden, or both make it to the championship.

Tarboro had to play Carver at Wake Forests stadium one year. I think Carver was only like 10 minutes from the stadium so no excuses on our end either way.
To be honest if Hickory or Maiden made it I don’t know if L-R could accommodate the crowds.
What’s the seating capacity?
Will the NCHSAA take in consideration the possible crowds that some teams bring? There are some programs that will bring huge crowds while others don’t.

You could walk from Hickory high to LR.
If Hickory was to make it and play there the baddest thing would be for Glass to make the team walk over there, dressed out ready to roll at game time.

1A will be in chapel hill also 5hr drive for us Wilson prep about 1hr 19 minutes what a joke

I feel bad for teams playing there on Thursday. Parking in chapel hill in the middle of the week is a nightmare
Even getting there is going to be a nightmare. The older I get, the less I love going to games there during the week! It is a nightmare!
I hate all games in these giant empty stadiums...makes no sense to me....much rather go to a highschool than some giant stadium where the front row is already 25 yards away from the field lol
No reason 1A and 8A could have had their press conferences today, and play this weekend.
Of course they could have played next weekend and avoided Thursday all together. They used to play 8 in 1 day.

It actually does make a lot of sense to do 1a and 8a this Saturday. By doing that, the kids would not have to miss school. But this is the nchsaa we talking about.
Friday will be Robbinsvilles 3rd bye/open in 7 weeks. That's almost half that time not playing.
Let's be real robbinsville has had a bye these entire playoffs lol
I mean most will miss at least 1 day of school to go down Friday if they play Saturday.
Playing on Thursday, Robbinsville likely leaves Wednesday afternoon, stays Thursday, plays Thursday at 4 is my guess. Get back late, and who would expect those kids to show up Friday?
If they win, they will go to school. No doubt.
