Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Illinois

F

[bringbacktherantboard]

Whatever our best play is, this is the down to run it.

Oh, we're kicking it.

[Fanaticat98]

nope. Shotgun, loss of 3. How much more can you screw this up. 4 downs tush push. How hard could that be.

[BigTenCat]

Right call kicking the FG

[AdamOnFirst]

wtf

[BigTenCat]

This is a truly awful football team

[Sheffielder]

It's times like these where I am happy most of my decisions are not made in front of millions.

[TheC]

This crap and lousy recruiting is why some of us don't want these coaches back

[989bjm989]

We had it at the 2? The 1? Take a minute and call a play

[BigTenCat]

wtf

There was zero chance they were converting that 4th down.

Zero

[jne381]

What I don't understand is if we have such a good O line, why can't we rush for 1 yard?

[989bjm989]

What a joke we don’t score a TD there.

[zbag51]

I feel like I’m insane. I shouldn’t know better than our OC on what to do on that drive

[Sheffielder]

Can't hold it against Braun taking the field goal. Do you have confidence in this offense to get three yards in a goal line situation?

[989bjm989]

Dang. Still think we can win.

[AtlantaCat]

Not Ready for Prime Time Coaching Staff.

[Fanaticat98]

We one thousand percent deserve to lose this game after that sequence. 1st and goal at the 1 after an huge momentum turn and we get a FG. We still need a TD, this does NOTHING for us. Unbelievably poor OC and head coaching decisions.

[Cool Cat]

Cool it Cat! We got the bull by the horns

I don’t hold the fourth down call. But what about 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

Who says we do? West Lot Pirates?

[AdamOnFirst]

They put absolutely everybody in the box, in the middle, and dare any of our outside guys to win. Preckel can’t hit the edge either. Only five linemen to block, other guys have gotta block too

[BigTenCat]

The OL is supposed to be the strength of the team and they couldn’t punch it in. Just demoralizing

[Rodenthater]

As good as he was last week, hes just as bad tonight!

I hope we don’t look back at this brutal offensive series as the reason we lost.

[Sheffielder]

It's like I've said before...I don't mind sticking with a green head coach, but we may not be able to float a green head coach AND offensive coordinator both at the same time...

[freewillie07]

Saka was so close. Goddddddd this is shades of the worst offensive ineptitudes.

[DaCat]

Braun bragged early in the year of taking more chances, kicking the FG in this situation is chickenshhht.

[corbi296]

This team goes as Preston Stine goes. Unfortunately the hot streak he was on last week has not carried over. Just awful decision making by him this 2nd Half.

[989bjm989]

Wish Anto would have run that B right in.

[DrillDude]

Missing Komo badly

[catcrazy]

Ryan Boe tush push. Stone is going to being Stone

[AdamOnFirst]

Missing Komo badly

We’ve got a 235 pounde! That’s his best possible situation!

[989bjm989]

Okay D. Get after it. Another TO.

[Jaguar 88]

This crap and lousy recruiting is why some of us don't want these coaches back

Backing into a bowl game isn't a good sign of where the program is going. We need to get a legit division 1a coaching staff, preferably with an innovator of a OC. I am not sure Braun is going to advance this program past barely becoming bowl eligible. This is getting old!

[AdamOnFirst]

I’m not sure my stomach will be able to stand watching it, but we’re going to be given yet another chance

How about we just win tonight, Chief?

[bringbacktherantboard]

Guys, it's a 1-score game in a snow bowl and the 'Cats are about to take possession. I don't understand what's behind all this doomerism.

[Cool Cat]

We're in great shape!

[jne381]

Another chance for the O to go win this thing.

[zbag51]

It is ridiculous that we are in a position to drive and win this game. But hey, let’s do it anyway!
Go ‘Cats!
