Yeah fumbled the snap rolled out and hit a linebacker for the two.. difference in game, unreal
This might be the craziest game Ive seen in my life

We knew EVERYTHING had to go our way to have a chance. Shame that it didn't translate to a win. I feel good though that you got all we had. I don't think the players left anything out there. Some of the other forces at play definitely made some questionable decisions. Shelby is an amazingly talented team and wish you guys the best of luck moving forward. If you can overcome all that and still get the W I think you're gonna be fine and it shows how hard it is to beat a team like that.
Not really sure why we didn’t kick that ball. Take a delay of game get a better angle and play next week
To be fair, the refs were also playing for ER
ER was good enough to where they didn't need the refs, good enough to beat Lincolnton and win it all.
Shelby was held most of the night to be fair, and had too many phantom pentalties and bad spots. I was laughing the whole game, that's how entertaining the refs were.
Why would random officials want to give the game to ER? Just asking a question

Yeah I don't know on that one either and at other times in the game as well. They played their tails off though. Still wasn't enough.
I'm not even a Shelby fan, but the refs were clumsy. They called a pentaly on the receiving team during kick off. More than usual dead ball fouls. The let both teams get away with holding calls, but ER got away with triple the amount.
all that said, ER choked, and Shelby's offense was trying to give it away in the final minutes of the 4th qtr
crazy game, and hilarious if you're neutral guy like me
on a side note, I dont think ya'll have enough players left to beat Lincolnton much less go to the finals and win.
I will say hats off to Shelby great team and great tradition. Good luck going forward.
Im not a Shelby grad so you could say I watched this game through a lens of a fan. Im 53 and have never seen a game as corrupt as this one. It just wasnt the automatic flags the refs threw on every play but the 2-3 yards spotting of the ball on every shelby spot. This game would've been a 5 td difference without the blatant cheating done by this crew. They should never ref a game again. It was something you couldn't dream up.

Nah, they called it even. 20 penalties on Shelby and 3 on ER. Nothing to see here.

Watch 10 on Shelby defensive line how many times his jersey was basically ripped off (one flag all night maybe two for that)
Watch the "roughing the passer I posted, enlarge it slow it down, shoulder to shoulder on fourth down, they get the call score next play
Watch their last score, corner of endzone then after the play, a penalty thrown around the ten calling holding on us AFTER the play... 20 penalties to 3... watch it... even people that despise shelby have commented... We beat a great ER team and a crew of referees and if anyone says anything different they are blind or absolutely stupid
ER was good, though VERY good.... the type team that if they beat us, Lincolnton struggles against.... They reminded me of Cramer BUT BETTER by far... that offensive line was just amazing... linebackers against the run awesome as well...
Its a good question sir.... I mean Im bloviating nonsense basically at this point, but perhaps all calls were legit, but read most responses, here, go watch the calls, and come up with y our own conclusions....
At the end of the day I admit im probably wrong, Im not ashamed to admit it... But from what I watched, it was as bad as I have ever seen in high school football and I am 54 years old....
Im basically being silly, and im not ashamed to admit, ER should have won the game.. that scrappy team is good their coach had a great game plan, and their run game was legit....They should have ran 4 every single play because if they do, they probably win...
We survived... and maybe just maybe we survive next week, but if not, Ill pull for the wolves.. im just some idiot fan, but at the end of the day win or lose, Im okay.... sun rises whether or not we win or lose....
I give ya'll a hard time, but this game was obvious. I was wondering if those refs had no shame. They were terrible, and they were also pretty indecisive on alot of calls. It's like "I threw a flag, but I dont knwo why..ok I'll make up something" <--this might be close to what the deal is.
Im biased because I pull for CC teams but it was too obvious. My dad lives in another state and was texting me saying he couldn’t believe what he was watching. This was before I said a word to him. It was that obvious.

Ok Shelby folk...you guys just got "Cecil Mocked" tonight with the officials. Lol That's the treatment teams playing ER have received for years. No seriously, look him up...CECIL MOCK! Cecil has been "involved" with the Eastern Randolph program in various roles for close to 50 years and has been Burton Cates' lackey over his entire career. In addition to his roles with ER, Cecil has been an official in various sports during that time period, climbing up the ranks all the way to supervisor of officials for the NCHSAA. Cecil is now an assistant principal at ER and although he is no longer the supervisor, he still officiates various sports and obviously holds great influence. Oh yeah and the president of the NCHSAA board of directors is none other than the Superintendents of Randolph County Schools Stephen Gainey. These refs aren't dumb they know

Good luck to the Shelby Golden Lions going forward. Also to Mr Lincolnton as well. Hopefully both teams come out healthy next week and it’s a great game on top of that.

I'm gonna have to go back and watch the full game. I listened to most of the 4th qtr and couldn't believe what I was hearing lol. I was shocked when ER didn't kick it at the end. Who knows even if ER had opted for the kick they may have missed. That's what happened to Hibriten tonight they missed a game winner from the 4 yard line with 10 seconds left. Did you create an account to just to say that nonsense? Stephen Gainey hates ER and everyone knows it. If your statement is true then I believe ER would have appearances in the big game.
