Bowl Game match up/destination ?

So.... no playoffs, and another 8-4 team heading to a bowl. We have this weekend and championship week yet to unfold, obviously, but who/where would you like to see Hawks play???

I like these as potential options...
Virginia or SMU in Pinstripe
Texas in Citrus
Tennessee in Music City

I think the consensus was the winner of Iowa & Nebraska goes to Tampa while the loser to Vegas. Tampa looks like it'll be against Tennessee, Vanderbilt, or Texas. Personally I think a matchup against Tennessee sucks for a lot of reasons. I'd rather it be anyone but Tennessee or send us to Vegas. Vegas looks like it'll be against Utah.

I was listening just now to Texas pregame. They were commenting on this aTm being the last game for most of these guys as they will not play in bowl. I live in Austin. These dbags litterally think national champ or nothing. Oh the team will go, play the scrubs. Fans wont go

I think I remember losing to Texas in the Alamo bowl vs Colt McCoy. Holding call on the receiver away from the ball took an Iowa TD of the board if I remember right. Lost 26-24...

Ok here is the story: now they beat aggies , UT thinks they are in. If they don’t get in , there is talk of boycotting the bowl, well that’s what I think I’m hearing

That was the play, they said he was ineligible and covered up on the line. Also the game we tried the Dominique Douglas pass but he got sacked before he ever got the throw off and we lost a bunch of yards, as of a few years ago that was the one play call Kirk specifically cited as wishing he had a do over.

If that were the reason, I would want texas.

Otherwise, I can find no other reason I would want to watch Iowa play texas 😅

I do not know for sure, but I am pretty concerned that he Outback might take an 8-4 Illinois since they do not to to Tampa too often, over us. that is one of a few reaosns I will be a Northwestern fan tonite.

Last year I went to bills at Texans in houston, was shocked at the bills fans there but I should not have been. The college fans, while Iowa might be slightly different…. The college fans around here in Texas say things like the natty champ game or nothing
