Really sucks bc this was a really really good team. Just some unlucky bounces that led to end of game collapses.
2 years ago we might be 8-4 but the wins would have been tighter and the losses would have been blowouts.
They would’ve looked like Michigan Big Ten Title games or @OSU. Defense would keep Iowa in game down a score or so(we already knew the game was over regardless) and then the dam would break in the 2nd half and end up 30-0 type games.
BF was such a miserable OC. Iowa would have been so much better just using "ask madden" every play.
It’s unfortunate. Iowa really missed out on potentially winning the Big Ten a time or two.
Chuck Long said that missing spring ball hurt things and I think he is right.
Plus, Mark wasn't full strength until July, IIRC.
Tim's offense is so much more fun to watch.
And we no longer are the national laughing stock.
Watching that point differential grow makes my little buddy grow.

I really hope we can (1) keep Tim Lester around; and (2) build on this.

Unfortunately BF was so bad when we score 25+ it's a big surprise. 40, people can't believe it. We are not the laughing stock anymore but people are still surprised by our scores. That's how much of a stink BF left.
