I can’t imagine any scenario after the beat down PSU put on us that PSU fans would be happy with this. That being said with all the coaches being resigned, the options for PSU aren’t looking that great now. It would have to be a real desperation move for them to go with Rhule.

I don't think it will happen either way OP, but people acting like there's no chance aren't paying attention. There exists the possibility that multiple candidates have already or will be saying "no thanks." Rhule could be the consolation candidate.

Not surprised. 10 years of losing has taken its toll on our psyche, where we think that a 500 coach with a losing B1G record would be considered for a major program.

Honestly, how many would clean house if it were not for the buyouts? I sure as hell would. Of course, as AD, I would have been working on a replacement as soon as the final snap went down in Minnesota. As it stands though, unless Ruhle quits, we are screwed until 2029 at least. That is four more seasons of shite.
