With Fitzgerald, probably most or all the staff stays. Having said that I am not wild about him. But I trust Beth to make a great hireFitzgerald.

idiocyIf MG isn't good enough for the BIG, then why did KF and Lester pay him the money, especially knowing he was injured and wouldn't participate in spring ball?
Source? The entire staff will not be remaining.
Same. A back pocket hire for Goetz if a top target candidate falls through. Not a risky hire, would at least modernize the offense. I always liked how NW played uptempo. With Fitzgerald, probably most or all the staff stays. Having said that I am not wild about him. But I trust Beth to make a great hire
Take a poll among NW fans...bet they would prefer Braun over Fitz 3 to 1.Same. A back pocket hire for Goetz if a top target candidate falls through. Not a risky hire, would at least modernize the offense. I always liked how NW played uptempo.
We shall see,.. Sorry, but I'm not buying into all the Cignetti hype just yet.I thought your takes on HROT were bad. Even worse here.

Hmmmm. Before Fry, the only loud thing in Kinnick was the echo. In 1960, Forest Evashevski led the team to the #2 ranking in the country. I'm sure many people thought that Kinnick would be rocking forever. By 1965 after 5 years of Jerry Burns at the helm. The stadium was empty, and it didn't start filling up again until Fry's 3rd or 4th year in the early 1980's. Between 1968 and 1971 I probably attended 10 games as a Boy Scout. We were the ushers who after the first quarter could choose any seat we wanted. It wasn't difficult to find a seat between the 40's because nobody came to the games.I dont think Kinnick would ever lose attendence no matter what happens. Empty seats for basketball home games for 20+ games, unlike home football games where there's six? Not comparable.
Granted, wouldn't there be an uptick with a new coach?
Ushered, had great seats, then made some money picking up trash. Those were great Saturdays as a Boy Scout.Hmmmm. Before Fry, the only loud thing in Kinnick was the echo. Empty? Not even close. Check the historical attendance records.Hmmmm. Before Fry, the only loud thing in Kinnick was the echo. You all know that KF is going to be back in 2026 as head coach, right? There's nothing you can do to change that, you know that too right?Thread on HawkeyeNation claims that donors are after a high profile name that is leaning towards taking the Iowa job. If this sought after name takes the job, Kirk is out. If he declines, Kirk will stay. View attachment 1024529
"hype"? The guy has his team in the TOP 10 for the second year in a row.We shall see,.. Sorry, but I'm not buying into all the Cignetti hype just yet.
And beat exactly 1 ranked team over those 2 years"hype"? The guy has his team in the TOP 10 for the second year in a row.
I'm surprised Brian would go public with such a frank opinion. One of KF's former assistants, was talking about this during Oregon week-end. Trent Condon's radio show brought it up too. It's time, it's a bad, boring, product that cannot beat anyone good and luck's out vs bad teams.
ROTFLMAO ... what is it we're waiting to see?? If he'll make the playoffs? If he'll turn the program around right away ?? If he'll win more games in a season that any other FB coach in Indiana history ?? Maybe if he wins 5 consecutive titles you'll let him lick your taint ???We shall see,..

Let's have fun with math.Except the last part I'm on board with this. Cignetti might be a nut but he wins. He has made it to the playoffs two more times than we have (barring a massive loss to Purdue).
In addition, Greg Davis is coming to tutor Brian.find a new joke. This one's beyond stale.
He makes it in 2002,2004,2009, and 2015 if it had been around back then with the current rules.Let's have fun with math.
Cignetti = 100% of his years as an FBS coach he reaches the playoffs
KF = 27 years of boring football and NEVER REACHING THE PLAYOFFS.
But, ya know, Cignetti hasn't proven himself while KF somehow has. JFC this country have no future.
Ohio State is gonna truck em.Except the last part I'm on board with this. Cignetti might be a nut but he wins. He has made it to the playoffs two more times than we have (barring a massive loss to Purdue).
Hopefully we dodge a bullet and Michigan St hires Fitzgerald
His passing “attack” made me want to cry in many of those games.Doubt it. I will say KF has been very emotional this year…more than normal. He’s about broke down crying early in games a few times.
Well, I was in college at Iowa 1973 - 1976 seasons. There were still a lot of fans in the stands, despite almost never winning. (I think I counted 4 home wins in my college career).Hmmmm. You're really bad at math and statistics along with analogies.Let's have fun with math.

There was no playoff for the first 15 years of KFz's career. Had their been, Iowa clearly would have made a 12 team field multiple times.
