Amusing rumor from Burnsville friday...a Heritage fan/parent/person asked our band to stop playing while they had the ball, cuz they couldn't hear. The band played nonstop from then on, except when we were on offense.Not a break in sound, timeouts included. Lol.
Quite a few years ago, the band playing when North Rowan was on offense cost Thomasville a conference championship. Unsportsmanlike conduct penalty kept an NR drive alive and allowed them to score.
Guess the rules have changed.
I don't know about a rule change but the opposing team playing while the other team has the ball used to be an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. It has happened quite often thus year for our games.
Funny this came up. I actually asked referee Friday night at halftime because Newton started playing when we got ready to snap ball. He told me as far as he understood a band can play non-stop through whole game if they want to.
Maybe, technically the three eyed raven was playing puppet master behind the scenes and got exactly what he wanted the throne. Remember he said bran no longer exists. But for the wolves to win Friday do they have to fall in love and sleep with their aunt and then betray her

That’s funny. MT Heritage literally has zero energy unless they scored a TD. The Environment sucks.
I think I counted 3 band members for MT Heritage.
honestly we almost had more fans than MT Heritage. We traveled well.
I thought outside turf field/Track that place was dump. The home bleachers looked horrible……

their band played while we had the ball. no flags.
Our band, they’re very good. Don’t know if they take requests, but I’d bet if somebody could hum it, they could play it. They’re very good.
About the Mountain Heritage situation, could be that some of the old wolves taught them how to play the really, really loud selections from way on back…Now some of those would get you a penalty, LOL. Refs would be saying, “What the h311 was that.”
Maybe they could compromise and learn some Dave Brubeck (Sans the drum solo),Glenn Miller or Herb Alpert. You know, giving the Lincolnton side of the field a blithe, but sophisticated vibe.

Agreed. Our crowd and vibe stinks. I thought the Lincolnton band was outstanding. My wife said it best, “they just had more juice.”
I still felt a lot of things went well for the Wolves. Loose balls, calls, and mostly, whatever the hell that defensive game plan was from Heritage. I hated it so much lol
Good luck this week and beyond. I am not sure why there has to be so much drama after a game. I would like to replay that game so badly.

When I was in school our coach told the band to shut up cause they played when we were on offense
Heritage is like a lot of places(Mitchell included) A few fans can give the rest a bad name. Have friends, and coworkers who went to and played at Heritage even some coaches over there I would consider friends. Have talked all sorts of trash over the years, most just that talk with no real meaning behind it. But will agree with you on their stadium. Lots of folks rave over it But I have never seen the appeal.
Just be glad it was not 20° colder setting down there on the river.

Maybe. Replacing 24 will be impossible but the defense that was displayed Friday night was really really bad. I’m definitely not implying that the LTN offense (especially the QB) is not legit. He’s better than Ward at Hendo and in a class with Ingle (Erwin). But whatever we were doing was not helping either.
i was really surprised at how easy it was to just pound the rock against such a big and fast defense. Felt like we had chances to play defensively like we did offensively and did the exact opposite.
As a dad of a linemen I was super disappointed with the gameplan. More with the absolute inability to adjust. As a result we aren’t practicing today
I really am looking forward to seeing the results of yall and Shelby. I bet the turnout and vibe will be insane.
We return 95% of our team. We only start 3 seniors. #57, #2, #44 only seniors that start. We are going to be absolutely loaded next year. We are sophomore/Junior Heavy.Maybe. Bushleague, I thought ThePitBoss made a pretty noble post, so I was trying to say something gracious about this thing...Close losses like that one sting and even have a special burn to them...Besides, Being a Lincolnton guy, you wouldn't have wanted me to try and push his face down in the mud, would you? On second thought, don't answer that... I've sure had my hideous mug pushed down in it enough.

I wouldn't brag about next year when this one is still going on 
. Lots can happen in a year. Don't have one of the best basketball players in the country on your basketball team last year and he up and left to go to another school. Things can always happen. Enjoy the moment and let the future come later

That point guard was like pistol Pete
That's correct. I don't think you guys will have a problem this Friday. The speed you have at QB and other spots will be too much

First of all how did either one of these teams get this far, East surry should be embarrassed of it's self. West Davidson uniform looks like if crest and Shelby had a baby. Ok the meat of this now. On offense they switch back and forth between I formation and spread. Good size lineman. They do use some confusion on I formation sometimes to the full back sometimes you're running back and the quarterback will keep it some also. Sometimes I'll use a H back to the side as a blocker for sweeps. I really don't see speed at all just run and try to get 4 or 5 yards. When they go to the spread formation they like to bring that receiver in motion and sometimes they'll give it to him sometimes running back sometimes quarterback keeper. So basically I feel like you're offense is based on trying to confuse the defense on who's getting ball. Now when they do throw it the quarterback tends to loft the ball or float it in the air. So if I was Lincolnton I would put eight men in the box and dare them to throw it with my corners one-on-one with the receivers. Basically you're not going to run the ball against me if you can beat me in passing so be it. But there's no way they should be lincolnton's defense in passing. Lincolnton's corners are too fast and will make a move on the ball especially if he floats it. Now their defense has some size but still slow. I watched the running back trip up in the backfield stumble and the defense still didn't get to him. Not for holding it would have been a 70 yard touchdown. Lynch at quarterback will have them tripping over their feet. Their corners can no way cover lincolnton's receivers. I would send my wr flying by them all night. If you want to run the ball against them just get it outside stay away from the meat of their line. Honestly their line gets washed down pretty easy. I looked at their schedules it explains a lot. Honest opinion if this game is closer than three scores I will be disappointed in Lincolnton.
