I will say that we looked like absolute crap for 3 quarters and put it together just in time.
Nobody ranked 19-25 for multiple weeks looks like they want to be there. I could see Iowa and Iowa St. receiving votes again somehow.
On the “bright side”, I won my pre-season bet that Iowa’s season win total would top 6.5 games.
It was a profitable game for me.

Although you did express doubt that Iowa would win, the word "dumb" should have been reserved for 2Dumb.
I wouldn't call your expectation "dumb", but it was nothing close to what the expectation experts (Vegas) deemed to be a realistic expectation.
Your expectation was a longshot. It is what it is, and stands on its own, regardless of how the game played out. If Iowa had won by 3 TD's, that wouldn't have "proven" you "wrong". Your expectation was already outside the realm of what the expectation experts considered to be reasonable
