20 point game if chit chat plays. Pressure is handled. She can pass to the post and hit an occasional 3.
but dear lord Miami had 4/5 fouls for almost the entire 2nd half while being handy. One of the 2nd half fouls was for two hands yet they did it another 20 times.

And we do not go 8 minutes without scoring and hit threes, it’s a 25 point blow out.
What an odd game. Thankful we won. Two pretty average performances but walk away with 2 wins, one Q1 and one might be a Q1.
Before today's game McCabe was 11/30 - 3pt (35%). Chit Chat was 12/20 (63%). Streamlow 6/13 (34%). Deal 4/16 (24%). Feuerbach 3/11 (22%). Our best 3PT shooter is Chit Chat (she's our best player too). She wasn't on the court and we won. She'll be back soon and we'll be better than tonight.
Did I miss something? I believe we are 6-0 and still have the same coach If I’m not mistaken. 
Last year at Holiday tournament time we were winning ugly as well. They played hard but outside shooting is pretty bad and a bit sloppy on turn overs. Ava was fantastic. Hannah makes a lot of good plays but some bad ones as well, kind of her historic pattern. Stremlow started very well but her shooting went away later, pretty good game though. Kylie is playing defense but nothing more, not even close on shots. We need a reliable 3rd scorer. Nobody from the bench stepped up and did much, we need a player or two to consistently elevate their game.

Has had a strong season hitting the boards.. career high 8 tonight.
Has become way better on D and is actually pretty trustworthy in the times she’s in control of the ball.. not loose with her handles .

McCabe has won us the last 2 games. Our best 3 point threat, hustles good defense, solid rebounder protects the ball and clutch plays. What else do you want.

Not sure you’ve watched Heiden, she actually playing all conference level right now. McCabe is doing what is expected of a player with her experience. I have been impressed this year by her overall floor game. Much better.
Mccabe made the defensive play of game with that punchout in last Miami possession.
She is playing like a steady vet so far.
Stremlow played well...all these minutes for her and Addie will pay off when we need them off bench later..when CC gets back.

She had 8 rebounds in back to back games I believe. Right place at the right time I guess (playing a lot of minutes). She does appear improved in multiple ways. Good for her.
She's at 37.8 % from 3, and 38 % overall (assume from the only 2 she's likely tried with her steal and made layup against Baylor

I think this team will really struggle away from Carver.
I can see a season record very similar to last year.
Really can't afford to have KF so bad on offense and Hannah to have a 4th quarter like last nite.

she's been what she should be for a senior, servicable. she made a play or two, she did not "win us the last 2 games", If you want to bestow that title on someone it would be Ava by a wide margin.
She is a three point threat, I'll wait to see if she's clutch. She had a chance to hit a clutch three last night and missed. I don't recall many, if any, three's she's in a crucial moment.
She's had some rebounds, some out of the matchup zone and some due to being on the weakside of action because she is not one of our better defenders. A majority of rebounds statistically go to the weakside, so there should be more opportunities for her than feurbach would see, for example. What would change my mind about her is actually hitting some timely threes, be more decisive with the ball in her hands, be more that just a kick out option on offense.
I don't dislike her game, I just dislike it for a starter with big minutes. I'd rather see her as a 15-25 min depending on her shooting. I'd like to see stremlow get more min.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about when the game was on the line. She made a steal and layup Thursday night and caused a turnover last night to put Kylie on the line and she made two big free throws.
When you needed the play it wasn’t Ava, it was McCabe. Yes Ava and Chit Chat have been the best players, but when the game was in the balance the last 2 games McCabe made the play that tilted it in our favor. I never said McCabe was our best player either.
Also your initial post said you didn’t like her skillset. I was showing you why the assessment was wrong.

Don't crucify me if wrong but I thought I heard that was only her 15th attempted 2 point shot in her Hawkeye career. It was on the radio.
