Genuinely a miracle that we won that game. The way things were going on every side of the ball, this seemed like a for sure loss. Wetjen is absolutely the player of the game, followed by Lutmer. I was told that because this was a 16.5 line, it was absurd to be worried about this game. Seems like I was completely justified in my concerns. It's almost like a Vegas line means nothing when the guys actually get on the field and play?

If we have a similar performance next week, Nebraska will absolutely steamroll us. Hopefully this win gave us some confidence.
Nebraska sucks.

Okay I am happy with the D. They held up in the clutch.
I am stunned by the O. They unleadhed hell in the clutch.
Relieved by the Kick. Delivered in the clutch.
All around team effort today. Lost playing complentary **** football and won playing complentary kickass football. This is how the games against isu, indiana, oregon, and usc should have ended.

There’s something to be said about a no huddle uptempo style.

There’s something to be said about a no huddle uptempo style.
And every game, not just this year we set back and run the clock down to almost zero every play until there is no choice. That's Kirk ball, once he has no choice he let's the coordinator take over. That's Tim Lester play calling there.

If teams are committing to the run, you have to be able to pass it a little.

I would expect a very similar game plan from Nebraska

i seriously don't understand what all the fuss was about. 3 hours of nonstop bitching. iowa fans are stupid and immature
good win
Ummm a lot of it attributed to the reverse jinx/triple reverse jinx. IE the butterfly effect (or something).

Always trying new things to summon the results you desire.

I like this team as people, but I hate them more as a whole. Nothing they did will change that fact and I actually hate them more for winning. This is the hell we're put through consistently, win a game like this and just perpetuate the complete s*** that we have to go through.

Seriously, why doesn't VanderZee get a lot more targets? He had what, 2 catches today?
I was thinking the same.

Is it possible that we spend too much time trying to get the ball to Wetjen on offense? I mean, on one hand, that would make sense … he is clearly electrifying with the ball in his hands. But on the other hand, Wetjen is only a so-so receiver playing from the line of scrimmage. Perhaps it bogs down the offense when we try to funnel the ball to him, rather than utilizing some of the other playmakers we have, like RVZ, Phillips, Gill, and others.

Just a thought.

And as seen today, we’re right there with them. Iowa won’t win in Lincoln.
Anyone else, and I might tend to agree.

But in this game, Nebraska's always gonna Nebraska.

Ugly the game up, keep it tight, and the Huskers will pull a miracle out of their arses to beat themselves.

We didn’t complete a pass to ANYONE for the first 28 minutes of the game. It’s not because we’re too focused on one guy
