That could be a coaching mistake
Not correcting it certainly would be. It's tough to anticipate every single thing new players won't do properly. That's a big part of the reason you get them in games. Figure out what they need to work on and then address it in practice.

She was out of control, there's no debate about that. With that said, it's probably important to remember these are Women basketball players and they often appear to go as fast as they can and throw it up and pray, and that's essentially what she was doing. Didn't work for the most part.

I too was stunned she was still in the game late. Obviously she's a gamer, just needs to think a little better on the fly, and I suspect she will. If she doesn't she'll likely find herself watching the end of games from the bench.

All in all, it was a good win. Ava was probably the only real bright spot, and I was a little surprised Layla Hays didn't get some more time, she's been able to hang pretty well in the early going. This team has some guts, that's for sure. On to Miami....
Uh, I'd say that Stremlow was a real bright spot. She's progressing on offense, and she's a gamer. I guess now we know why Jan named her as a captain pre season, even as a bench player....

Regarding Chit-chat's injury - looked like a neck injury. I don't think she hit her head. Second comment, where the hell was a doctor? She's lying on the floor motionless for minutes and no medical attention? Hard to believe.

Agreed. Unless is was kind of a whiplash concussion, she didn't appear to hit her head when she fell.....

It was like 10 seconds and she was moving. There was an athletic trainer there.

Yes -

A rotational concussion can occur without a direct head impact, as the brain can still be injured by the twisting motion it experiences inside the skull. This twisting can happen from sudden acceleration, deceleration, or rotation of the head and neck, causing the brain tissue to shear and stretch against the skull. Examples include whiplash from a car accident, or a dancer's or gymnast's rapid movements.

Houston had a pump fake in the lane in the 2nd half and the Baylor player bit and she went right by her although she missed the shot, and I hope the coaches are working with them on that.
Emily was out of control some, but she is aggressive, makes mistakes, but she needs to play. I would rather have aggressive than passive anytime, and she made a great shot to go up 3 late and then McCabe made the play.
Thank goodness for Stremlow and what a nice game she had including a nice 3 and totaled 12 pts.

Still no word on Chit Chat's condition, though? That actually could be good news as it most likely means there is a chance she will be able to play Saturday. There is a lesser chance that it is so bad they want to make sure everything is properly diagnosed before going public with it as well, but I'm going to go with the first option.

No word on her injury but Jensen already said she's out Saturday.

Jees, why get pissy? You posted Ava was the only real bright spot. She was one for sure but if Strem doesn't come in and pick up the team when CCWright went out, thats a loss, plain and simple.
Wasn't trying to be pissy. But then again it's just your opinion man. (quote from some movie - Big Lebowski maybe)

In addition - posted the word PROBABLY, which isn't as definitive as "Ava was the only real bright spot". There is a difference, like it or not. Stremlow was good, so moving on.........

Emely is raw in terms of playing in a system. Her teammates know of her situation and love her.

Overagressive yesterday, but her mind was racing.. but her basket before the McCabe steal put us up 3. Nobody else on the roster AS OF NOW makes that play.

We were in a battle.. she was trying to help the team win. She’s a. Unique player on this team, she will get better and flourish.
