in both shoot around and in game these rims are stiff as hell. UNC had tons of 3s rattle out in Q1. You better swish today; nothing is going to rattle in.
I suspect it is not a coincidence that a team that does not want to shoot 3’s has tight rims at home.
I said this before, Lanie is very tentative on the offensive end. I just don't feel like she has a lot of confidence in her shot. Even on that short jumper she missed, it looks like she hesitated to just pull up and take the shot and then too extra dribbles and missed. She is passing up open 3 all over the floor. I just was expecting so much more from her than what she is giving

There is one who has called about 20 travels.

Lets see....... they were called for 12 personals. We were called for 25?! Aren't we the more talented team? Things that make you say Hmm....
I am biased obviously, but what I saw was a UNC team playing the same level of defensive tenacity you see from UNC in an ACC game.
these refs decided to call it as tight as the rims in that gym.
Who knows. The only thing I do know is if a player is playing than they are not hurt. Some players max out; other players get better and catch up. As long as we are winning that is all that should matter. People got on CT last year. She is doing her thing now. Also, it takes some players longer than others to adjust to the college level. We have a lot of talent on this team, which is great. It makes it hard for other teams to scout us if you have a lot of players playing well. CB and Staff did tell us that this freshmen class was good coming in and that they were going to push for playing time. I would suggest that we need to be happy that we are not losing like Duke right now and don't worry about someone on our team not playing well right now. LG will be fine. We must have patience.

I think we need to relax a little on Lanie.... we are just 5 games into the year overall.... and she did not play in one and had a restriction in the other. Geez, let her get her feet under her again. She's going to be fine. Despite that, she's still giving us 8.5 on 35% from 3 (1.5 makes per game). She has a positive A:TO ratio as well. Let the team begin to gel before we start worrying over individuals.
I agree. We need her for 10-15 a game right now. and then we have 6 weeks before the start of the year to get her right. I have liked what I have seen from others so far.
Indya had a monster game, Efficiency rating of 24 is off the charts.
14 points on 7 attempts (5-7 FG) 10 Reb, 3 As, 2 Bl, 2 Stl (no way she had only 2 steals) in 24 min. Need to watch those turnovers, though. Hit her 3pt attempt, 3 of 4 on FT.

I just want to say again that I thoroughly enjoyed going to this game. the atmosphere is better than half the ACC, including dook for any non-UNC game. Way better than away games I attended for other mid-majors.
The fans were welcoming, but cheered tenaciously even when their team was down by 20.
the gym is super old school; a blast from the past (much like Carmichael but grittier)
Current NET Ranking of 152 is pretty high quality for an in state OOC foe. On par with ECU and UNCG this year and only significantly behind Davidson.

I think you're reading more into this than was there. I certainly didn't say she was bad. I just asked about showing improvement... So far - even early in the year - she appears to be exactly what she was last year and still making what you'd call some freshman mistakes with decision making. I also was not aware she was wearing two ankle braces, which was a response to that inquiry. Whereas, comparitively - and using your own words here of just being 5 games into the season - you can see notable improvements from CT, LH, and JZ... That's all that was being asked... not admonishing any players.
We were there also and I agree completely. Great atmosphere, welcoming fans, passionate about their team. And their ladies bathroom featured HOT water to wash your hands, something ours doesn't offer!!
