And just play the weddington grimsley game
Plus one of my teams is still playingDon’t want to shorten the season. lol
Those are the 4 best teams in the state IMHO.What I would like to see is, throw in the elite 7A/8A teams that still in it and let go them at it. Grimsley/Hough game or West Charlotte/Weddington matchup would be fun to see.
millbrook looks really good hoggard and jordan as wellThose are the 4 best teams in the state IMHO.
Will standby my comment. Grimsley, Hough, WC, weddington four bestmillbrook looks really good hoggard and jordan as well
I hope you are right but Mooresville has a lot of work to do before they need to worry about that !!You mean the Weddington Mooresville rematch
yeah whatever u say yall said the same thing years ago and new bern threw one pass and still beat grimsley by 2 tds lmaooo they are good teams but to count out hoggard jordan and millbrook even clevland garner or clayton when all these teams could beat each other on any giving day idc what you say about them being the bestWill standby my comment. Grimsley, Hough, WC, weddington four best
i can agree with that as far as in championship games but winning one game doesnt mean you are the best it just means you played better that day if the top teams in the state played each other every year in the regular season you would see its not as wide of a gap as you think. different styles make for different games clevland thrashed nb as well, so did jacksonville. that doesn’t mean they are better than hough thats like saying wf is better than west charlotte since they actually did better than west charlotte against houghYes but that was a few years ago when New Bern beat Grimsley. Hough absolutely trashed New Bern this year. Im from the east but there is no denying the best teams are from the west, but the east is still pretty good. The east needs to beat the west in the title games a little more often to get any more credit from the average fan. The west has been pretty dominant at the higher levels for the last 20 years or so at the higher classifications A and AA.
jh rose won 4 in a row before to in 4a and again different teams would give different results u still talking about one game butler played some these east teams the past couple of years and been getting waxed by these so called lesser east teams and west charlotte only beat seventy first because their qb got hurt against jacksonville and so did their running back and they still barely won and not to mention they had 4a numbers playing in 3a and u talking about what hough did to a new bern team that is in a down year im pretty positive if hough or any charlotte team played new bern year in year out new bern would be up in all those series outside of maybe charlotte independence but even then that would have been close as well and thats with me giving all them years they was recruiting and having all the best kids at their school and the same could be said for jh rose hoggard garner clayton alot of these schools thats y i said u just talking about one game so because that school is better one year that auto means their better overall if thats the case why has any team from the east won 4 or 3 straight state championships in any division ever that literally makes no senseI believe last year in the state title games was a sweep for the west Grimsley, West Charlotte, and Monroe won so it was at least 3 out of 4. With the exception of Tarboro in 1A and Wake Forest winning I believe 3 in a row for the east in like 16 to 18 it's been slim pickings without question for the east typically. At some point you have to see that and acknowledge that for what it is. You keep saying you cant base it off one game but with a few rare regular season exceptions that what basically we have to go by. Just seems to me the west gets the better of the east. I wish it wasn't so because Im from the east but I cant ignore the general dominance of the west.
Yeah Rose certainly gets credit for winning 4 in a row but let's be honest if they were in 4AA instead of 4A they win zero because nobody was beating Independence back then. Still yes Rose did beat 4 western teams. Actually I take that back one year in the state 4A title game they beat Jack Britt who for some reason was seeded in the west and advanced to title game suprisingly. In another title game Rose beat a mediocre Grimsley team who had 3 or 4 losses at least and only advanced to the state championship game after Crest had to forefit to Grimsley a day or 2 prior to the scheduled western Grimsley/Crest regiional finals. So Rose beat one eastern team in the state title and one mediocre Grimsley in 2 out of 4 trips. Still a state title is a state title and they beat who was put in front of them . 4 in a row is 4 and a row and a great accomplishment. But that's going back quite along time now to cite an example of east winning. And let's face it everyone knows Butler has tapered off the last several years so it's not shocking they have lost to an Eastern team. I do strongly agree with you that if 71st QB does not get hurt in last years eastern finals they would have beaten West Charlotte, but again he did get hurt and didn't play so the western team won yet again. There are good football teams in the east, very good teams, but bottom line the west is just better. Its not that hard to see. I hate the SEC in football but Im not going to argue the ACC is better because Clemson beat South Carolina and Louisville beat Kentucky.
I feel fairly confident that Jacksonville is going to advance and win 6A state title at least for the east.we will see millbrook might shock hough with how good they are they are no slouch
i could see it going 4-4 in the state games or 5-3 west wayI feel fairly confident that Jacksonville is going to advance and win 6A state title at least for the east.
