Last year I felt based off memory it was a balanced attack. I think they had a lot of success defending the run last year, but we ran well on them and so did Heritage.Thoughts?
Is Corvian a balanced offense or do they lean more to the passing game?
Yeah it seems like they don’t do as well against heavy run offenses. I’m sure they don’t see the T/Wing T style much around Charlotte area schools. That’s why I think E Wilkes will have successLast year I felt based off memory it was a balanced attack. Last year they would definitely put it in the air. Their qb this year has close to 1500 yards, so around 150 a game.I think our run defense is pretty solid. Just concerned with their passing attack as our pass defense is vulnerable. Reason i was wondering if they are balanced or rely more on the passing game.
Granted, I’ve only seen one game but I don’t see the same weapons at WR as they had last yearLast year they would definitely put it in the air. Their qb this year has close to 1500 yards, so around 150 a game.
Not sure if you are a MH fan or not, but I said last year, and will say again, I thought MH was a better team, and should've won that ball game.I was unfortunate enough to watch Corvian end MH season last year and while Heritage was able to run the ball quite well, I was super impressed with how well coached and disciplined Corvian was. The never really faltered and hit a huge pass play at the half that really swung momentum. I have no clue who they have back from that squad last year but their front 4 was very solid.
They graduated the two defensive ends, the two defensive tackles are still there.I have no clue who they have back from that squad last year but their front 4 was very solid.
From what I've seen they throw a lot of screen passI think our run defense is pretty solid. Just concerned with their passing attack as our pass defense is vulnerable. Reason i was wondering if they are balanced or rely more on the passing game.
Ground and pound baby! Milk that clockIf they do throw it alot, we may be in for a long night. Especially if we cant move the ball.
I think we need to be able to run the ball efficiently and chew up the clock. Of course turnovers and penalties can absolutely kill that game plan as well as any chance of winning a game like this.
Since their QB is a freshman, I would try to pressure him as much as possible. Show him different looks defensively and get the home crowd fully invested. If they do throw it alot, we may be in for a long night. Especially if we cant move the ball.

Not sure any of them will be close though.
We don't have good rivalry matchups anymore.
Let’s get it started, who do you have in this game.
Agreed! I’m just curious to see how their defense does against our offense
How does Hayesville match up against EW? Well assuming they beat HT.
Not sure why EW and STM cant be ok with saying CO CHAMPS? Its a good accomplishment. CO Champs is what they both are.
Good point, but it’s not even about that. Hoping to see your rams at. Murphy later on!
I couldn't believe it. I thought the score was wrong.
East has several interceptions this year. East can’t give 30 foot cushions across from the receivers all night and allow the Qb to get comfortable and into a rhythm. I mean EW has speed of it’s own on both sides of the field so man up as well as they can and get some heat and play solid defense like they have all year long. You can’t sit back in a prevent and let a good passing team just pick you apart and wait to see what their offense is going to do.. or you are just asking to get shredded. Whatever it takes to play smart and flush the Qb out of the pocket with desperation and rushed throws all night without getting roughing The passer calls is what it takes to win this game. All the while imposing your will and getting a lil bit more of a passing game initiated if need be to keep Corvian from stuffing the fb part of the option to fully open up the run game.If they do throw it alot, we may be in for a long night. Especially if we cant move the ball.

I am. Currently have a kid playing at MH. While I agree with you, my point was that Corvian didn’t give up or play undisciplined football. They just hit a couple of monster plays. Not sure if you are a MH fan or not, but I said last year, and will say again, I thought MH was a better team, and should've won that ball game.
These screen passes they throw are to the running back and wide receivers in three games i seen they did that several times best defense for that is long time consuming drives eat the clock up and score touch downs that's my two cents good luck like tarvikes1 said ground and pound baby.If they do throw it alot, we may be in for a long night.
