Hell... put some weight on Routledge and let him fly at 174 second half. There's plenty of kids he was beating last year doing well at this thing.
No idea. That Wrestling classic seems to have put a hex on Casey and Zack
I'm so pumped about Spratley, Ronnie, Vega, LR, Dee (even tho he hasn't looked near his potential), and Cody. and cautiously optimistic about Doucet.

Even though Ryder has gotten some really bad calls, he shouldn't be in positions where it matters.

Solid team win but we’ve got a long ways to go. Just keep improving.
Doucet ignored DT's calls to cut him with 20 seconds left in the first

NCState is great at stalling and the refs are terrible at calling it.
I liked that swiderski came out on fire and it looked like a clean shot to me, not a headbutt. He god screwed.
overall our transfers are not looking very good in the early going. Hoping they improve throughout the year

This dual had good, bad and ugly in it. Spratley lost a close match giving up a questionable takedown at the end of the 1st period. He didn't have much offense in neutral which cost him the match. The good was a strong 2nd period ride out. Ramirez was behind in the match but got a takedown at the end of the 3rd period for a good win. Vega is great on top and got another 2nd period ride out and did not give up a takedown and beat the 8th rated wrestler at 141. Vega is really wrestling good. Swiderski needs to finish but he didn't and so lost on a headbutt call in the first seconds of the match. He had lots of great takedown attempts(good) but completed 0 of them and so lost(bad). Robideau beat the 11th rated 157 with a solid win with a couple of takedowns. He is so good! Dee had a solid win over Will Denney who I think is a redshirt freshman who is unranked but seemed very strong physically. Facundo made a horrible mistake by turning in when he was on the bottom for a fast pin (ugly). A stunning screw up. Alex has wrestled tough opponents and has not been able to score. Ryder wrestled an opponent that I never heard of and needed a stalling penalty to win. He could not get a takedown but won against I believe was a weak opponent, bad. Merrill wrestled a guy that I never heard of who is a freshman. He won with a takedown in the 3rd period but he was not impressive. Doucette teched a wrestler I also never heard of but he destroyed his opponent, good. We won but closer than it should have been. Our freshmen are the standouts.

I agree, Swiderski shot and his opponent sank to his knees and it was not Swiderski's fault.
Pretty awful call, didn’t agree with the TD against Sprat either
The refs from tonight are actually in talks with the NCAA as we speak to take away Parker Kecks ncaa title due to his excessive head butting. Stay tuned.
Both the head butt penalty point and the TD against Sprat are real head scratchers.
I’m an OSU fan so I’m biased but would like to hear from non partisan observers their thoughts.
Don’t know how to feel about the Iowa matchup. Not gonna be able to hang with them if guys don’t wrestle a whole lot better.
Def biased here but I am not as upset with the Spratley TD call as some. I want the ref to make that call for us at the buzzer so I gotta want him to make it against us too if that makes sense. Reward intensity and action. If DT is confident it’s wrong he could’ve still challenged it for independent review. Self review is turrible and mostly doesn’t mean anything. Spratley wrestled very well and it sucks that it was a questionable call but he didn’t score tonight and that hurt him more.
The head butt call is a freaking joke. Nothing else to say there. Sucks the kid got hurt but that was a power double that will happen another 1000 times this year across the country and won’t get called. Ref got scared with the immediate spout of blood is my only explanation.
